Nothing to dislike whatsoever!!

Everything! Ideally located in the centre of Confolens, right next to the free car park. Lovely period house with interesting features, very friendly and helpful hostess, who couldn’t have done more. Huge bedroom and shared lounge with TV, excellent huge continental breakfast with tons of choice! We loved staying there!

The weather was cold and despite the efforts of the radiator the room needed a little more heat.

We liked everything!

We loved our stay, gorgeous old property right by the river in Confolens. Davina is such a welcoming host and really looked after us. She cooked a fabulous 3 course meal for us in the evening and even accommodated our preference for vegan food which was much appreciated. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. We hope to stay again sometime.

À beautifull guesthouse, well, pretty and Cosy decorated. Davina is a warm and very friendly host. The breakfast is huge with lots of variations. The sleeping room is very nice and big. And the sitting room is lovely. A very good and nice stay❣️

The toilet flushing was a little peculiar A mechanical system necessitated presumably by having to work with such an old building

Not a thing!

Superb welcome, after a bit of trouble finding the place! Great room, lots of space, terrific breakfasts, a truly excellent and helpful chatelaine, for whom nothing was too much trouble… Altogether off the scale in all regards! The hotel I moved on to in Pompadour was dire, the exact opposite of Magnolia- made me appreciate my Confolens stay even more! Many thanks indeed!

Word of advice to those arriving on Monday, make provisions as most of the eateries are closed.

Davina was an excellent host and if you are having breakfast at Davina's, don't eat the night before! Lovely house, great facilities, lovely location, great host. A solid 10. If we go back that way Davina's house will be at the top of our list.

Nothing. Could have stayed longer so the fact we were only there one night was a shame.

Davina is lovely. She was due not to be around when we arrived due to other guests needing picking up from the airport but she contacted me and we made alternative arrangements. Davina pointed us in the direction of the vet for our dog’s jabs too and was helpful with parking options. The breakfast was lovely. Great coffee and every possible item you could expect for a full continental breakfast. We had many conversations with her and it was great to hear her stories and experiences of running this delightful bed and breakfast. Could not fault the location. Right on the main square of Confolens.

Plan your trip as restaurants may not be open on a Monday or a Tuesday in the town of Confolens

Davina was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Confolens is quiet on a Monday and Tuesday (we stayed on a Monday night) but she pointed us in the right direction to get some good food, drinks and dog walks all without needing to get back in the car. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the future

Great stay, with secure indoor bike storage. Davina even kindly washed my cycling kit for me, which was much appreciated. Lovely living area room too, which was very comfortable.

Anyone who spends even just one night in this wonderful house with its so hospitable hostess will consider themselves lucky. A spacious bedroom, an excellent breakfast and an evening sipping wine inthe garden beside the river. Wow!
