Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThis was the only hotel in a 7 week tour where I had to wait until 3pm to get into my room after arriving at 2pm. I know check-in is officially 3pm. The bathroom only had a hand-shower & no shower-curtain, or door.
Location is great - close to the Folies Bergeres, & Cadet Metro station, walking distance from Gare du Nord. The lift was working when I was there. Room was standard, with bath-room, and a sofa-bed. Luggage storage facilities.

SpainThe bathroom is awfully uncomfortable. Sink is oddly placed and makes it hard to use. Shower head is detached and you have to hold it all the time. Breakfast isn't great as well but it does the job, especially for Paris
Room is pretty small but for two people there's not much issue. The location is great, lots of nearby bars and restaurants, walking distance to Lafayette and a subway station. Montmartre is also very close by and very pretty

PolandThe walls were cardboard -we could hear the neighbouring rooms and the corridor. Also our room was facing the backyard of the bar, so it smelled like burnt burgers if the window was open. We could also hear the rubbish bins (which were also under the window). Shower is really tiny ) I mean, TINY

United KingdomNothing, but if I had to be picky .. there were road works right outside the hotel, when we arrived, but they were only there two days and didn't affect us much as we were out and about sightseeing during the day.
The Hotel had a lift, which was super as we were on the 6th floor. Clean and tidy room, well serviced on our stay by housekeeping. Very friendly reception staff, even though we had virtually no french to speak of. Right in the heart of Paris, Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from, across the road and a very short distances away. Nice breakfast and lovely coffee. I would return for another visit.

BelgiumThe staff could be a bit more friendly. What's weird, I could not get the key for the second room, which I reserved. I had to wait for my friends, so they can get it... Their policy requires that you always have to leave the key at the reception desk. It is okay, but in the evenings we often had to wait for a receptionist as he was not around. It could save a lot of hassle to just take the keys with yourself.
The location was very good, in the proximity of metro station, around 30 min walk to the city center. The room was clean, same applies to the bathroom, cleaned everyday.

BrazilI didn’t like the taxi they called us. It charged us way more than the city price. Also, the hotel already told us a overpriced value, but then the taxi told us another when we got there.
The location of the hotel was nice! It was not near the main tourist points, but their is a metro station near the hotel and you could get anywhere.
