The check in staff was not friendly. We called ahead to find out about parking but has to check in before she would tell us where to park (an extra 8 euros per night). The Airconditioning didn’t work and there were no instructions on how to operate it or the safe , the towels were ancient

The baby cot provided wasn’t clean and had a 4 colour pen underneath the mattress along with some old dirt. Reception staff wanted me to write down my credit card number on a piece of paper for any additional purchases. Obviously refused to do this but caused some issues trying to check in and eventually had to pay for extras like city tax and baby cot before checking in. Might be worth training staff in GDPR and how to put a pre authorisation on a credit card with the card machine.

Booked as a last minute stay during the heatwave purely because it had air conditioning.

As stayed only one night, so was more then satisfied. Didn’t notice any issues

As arrived late in the evening, front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Round of applause for the reception guy that provided excellent service. Thank you!

Nicely Traditional but with modern facilities such as bathroom and air conditioning. Friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location for walking into centre of Auxerre and a good buffet breakfast.

Better directions for parking would have been useful as the parking entrance is not at the hotel address, it’s at the back on a different street. Found it purely by accident. Only one plug socket in room available.

Where to start! I booked as it has a car park and we were driving from the UK in a very expensive classic car for an overnight stop off. I couldn't find any way of gaining access to their car park. When I asked, I was told the car park was full so I should park on the street! Having lots of bags in the car we had no option but to leave the car and risk issues. Thankfully, all was ok. When entering the room it smelt like the last guest had used the toilet on the way out! Turns out the damp smell of bathroom/drains just overwhelms the room. The bar is pointless; the staff are overworked and not able to be attentive. Air con not working, apparently would be fixed 'tomorrow' seemed like a well used excuse. Breakfast room was packed and the food was croissants and the like, ok for a simple breakfast.

Bed was comfy but only one pillow per person!

has dreary dark grey carpeting in foyer and hall ways. receptionist not around much. on arrival could not give us a local map, got at visitor’s center later.

location near old town and museums. in a charming red brick and stones, 19th century brick mansion. Has a garage for $8 a night. fine breakfast in pretty light-filled room. Has terrific bathroom, nice size bedroom, good mattress and bed linen. good value.

nice hotel, very quaint but bit tired our room stank of cigarettes reported to staff twice they didn’t seem bothered but it was awful lovely staff overall, great breakfast in pretty garden
