How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Surprised to find broken wifi. This was a real problem. No fridge - unacceptable in a warm climate. No table or chairs on the balcony so we couldnt sit outside. Very odd and very disappointing. Please sort that out!

Be aware that the parking lot of the hotel itself is under sized so you might have to park a couple of streets away. The distance is negligible, and it is for free.
Nice rooms, with balcony on the sea. We got (and suggest) the breakfast included option, very wide choice available. Friendly staff.

Smal car park. Not clear how to reach the beach on foot.
Nice hotel at walking distance (uphill) from centre. Clean modern design a bit impersonal, but functional and pleasant with good air conditioning. There was no garden / terrase, but we had a lovely balcony which unfortunately birds tried to nest on so it was not as clean as you would have wished.

Would have preferred a modern walk in shower. Shower experience wasn't especially comfortable.
Comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Great breakfast and staff. Good parking

No fridge or coffee maker in room.
Very helpful reception staff. Good breakfast. Parking a bit tight, but it's off road and free. Well-insulated windows: for a hotel on a main road it's quiet.

Booking.com description advertised a big terrace (with pictures), but that was not the case as the room only had a tiny balcony. we booked it for the terrace, so that was a big disappointment. also in the room there was just an armchair even if it was for two persons, and same for the reading light. the bathroom is pretty old. the staff was not too friendly (did not reply at messages before arrival, and some of them were not really friendly in person either). breakfast is too expensive, but I noticed that it’s average in Corse

The shower is small so it's hard to bend over in there, they need install a shelf for the toiletries so you don't have to squat to get them. There should be at least one chair on the balcony, otherwise you can't really enjoy it for long!
Location was walkable to all you want to do in the city. I loved that they provided a parking spot (even though it got full quickly). The room was perfectly comfortable with an amazing view. Great bed. The kind blond woman at the front desk went above and beyond to get us a wine opener when we wanted to open one of our bottles in the room (she called the hotel across the way to use theirs). Very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good too.

Great location. Hotel staff spoke English and kindly let us keep our car in the parking lot after check out while we were at the beach. Good value for a one night stay, other properties were much more expensive. Simple room, clean and comfortable. 5 minute walk downhill to the main stretch of town near grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, and the docks where you can get a boat taxi to take you to the breathtaking Lotu and Saleccia beach (favorite beach on the island).

No fridge, no coffee/tee. View to see is oriented to the main street so its quite loud during the day.
Big terrace, comfort beds, AC. Nice receptionist. We got 2 small bottles of watter.

Not much to fault really although shower screen leaked at the bottom a bit and water wasn't draining very well. Water was lovely and hot though.
Lovely, clean room with great view from balcony. Perfect location - only 5/10 minutes walk from harbour. Friendly, helpful staff.

Breakfast was rather expensive at 15 euros per person so we chose walk into the town, just a short walk to have breakfast there.
