Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongThat the rooms weren't ready in time, but we were offered Champagne to compensate for the delay, which was much appreciated. One window didn't close properly, so it was extra noisy due to the night club outside. Some leftover garbage was left on the balcony by previous guests.
Breakfast was served in the room. Goos choice of pastries and baguette, cold cuts. Location is noisy, next to clubs. But only 50m from the metro station, so very convenient. Close to Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge. Very friendly staff.

NetherlandsThe shower head emitted the water with quite a pulse, making it a little uncomfortable at times. Because of this, the floor could get really wet at times, since the water would bounce off of you. Then again, this is up to personal preference and it is quite easy to clean up. The shampoo was a combination between shampoo and shower gel, making it quite drying to the hair. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, which meant i had to use my personal appliances in the bedroom without a mirror. The bed was quite hard and left us with a bit of back pain on a daily basis. The pillows, however, were comfortable and clean. The bed is also quite short, coming from someone who’s only 1,83m. I always had to sleep with my feet out of bed. The hotel isn’t very soundproof. We could very distinctly hear it when people were in the hallway. We also found that the room could get quite hot at times, leading us to open the balcony door. It was a choice between either being hot or being surrounded by sounds of the nightlife crowd. Something the hotel doesn’t control, is the neighborhood. There’s a lot of sexshops and bars in the area, which lead to people coming up to us to ask us to go to their club. This doesn’t feel great when you’re out on a late night stroll to the supermarket. Again, this is not the hotel’s fault, just something to keep in mind.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and service-oriented. From opening the door for you, to making sure you can check in early, as well as help consider options about traveling. The Wifi service in the hotel was amazing as well. Very fast. The breakfast was great. There were some nice tasty options and it was delivered to our room in the morning, at the time we wanted it. It is also very easy to tell the staff what breakfast you want, since you can hang it in your door before 01:00am. The cleaning of the rooms was very flexible, since we could leave quite late in the morning and still come back to a cleaned up room. We also found that all of our stuff was always in the same spot, which is always nice. There was a bathtub available, two sinks, a blowdryer, as well as a coffee machine. The closet had a mini-fridge in which some drinks were stored. The hotel was right next to a metrostation, with lines to a lot of sightseeing opportunities. It is also a 10-15min walk away from the monument in Montmartre, which is surrounded by a lot of pretty streets. The supermarket was less than a minute away, as well as the pharmacy.

GreeceThe area is very very dodgy ! I wasn't aware of it but apparently this place is the red light district of Paris somehow. People always trying to grab you to get your attention for the "shows" and even food vendors try to steal from you , you can't even buy a crepe in the area without them trying to overcharge !
Room was pretty nice, spacious and included a hot tub which you can rarely find. It also had a balcony which is very handy if you need a smoke. The location is very great as it is minutes aways from Montparnasse and there is quite a few things to do around. Also due to the hotel being extremely small, the breakfast is offered only as a room service which is very convenient.

NetherlandsThe only remark I have is there is no restaurant in the hotel. There are still some things to improve by their quality but, the manager who started 2 weeks ago is doing all his best to make you satisfied
Manager of the hotel is VERY friendly and helpful to support you by any case. Furthermore, very nearby, the public transport like bus and underground. We booked for the room with an amazing, great bathtub. Windows are good isolated to prevent noise from outside because the hotel is located on Place Pigale so you need such windows
