  “Lovely apartment in a little village right on the Shropshire Union canal. Fantastic pub across the road and lovely walks on the doorstep.. Great shower and kitchen with everything you need for a short or long break. Central heating for the chilly nights.”

  “We liked the food in the restaurant upstairs. It was very tasty. We both had the double patty burger and chips. It was delicious and good value for money. The breakfast in the morning was also very nicely cooked to order. This was included in the £125 room price.”

  “Great service all round, the staff are incredibly helpful, the room was clean and very comfortable, the afternoon tea was great value for money and the spa was amazing!”

  “Staff were amazing, breakfast excellent, location excellent. We were a group of 8 with bicycles, on a busy bank holiday weekend, with a wedding going on but they helped us in every way possible and did not make us feel in the way. They helped us carry the bikes up the old staircase. The hotel is full of character being over 400 years old.”

  “Excellent location. We had to leave at 7, so no opportunity for breakfast. Restaurant was outstanding and highly recommend. Rooms were clean and basic. There was a wedding, or some sort of function, which meant lots and lots of noise, which seemed to go on very late. Would have been nice to have been informed of this when booking.”
