“Perfect location, soft cosy bed, very clean and welcoming rooms. Not en-suite but had sink in the room but wasn't an issue as the shared bathroom had good shower and was very clean. Highly impressed by the thoughtfulness of the host, on arrival we were given the choice of two rooms on the top floor with sea view or (on noting my partner limping) an alternative room on a lower level. (We had a sea view room) he also provided extra pillows. Breakfast was included. Highly recommend the full english, especially the bacon which was the tastiest I've had in years. Well presented dining area and lounge area for tea and coffee (no kettle in room but not an issue for us) owner sings along to music (and is very good) whilst cooking breakfast, which really creates a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere as well. Great place to stay.”
“The Canoeist's Hideaway is a gorgeous period property, beautifully decorated, offering stunning views of the sea and close proximity to a range of amenities. The house comfortably sleeps 9 in rooms of various configurations in super comfy beds and so was perfect for our family reunion and celebration.. Much thought and effort has gone into providing everything you might need in terms of facilities, and we really enjoyed just relaxing together as a family in this beautiful space and appreciating what the house had to offer. There was a lovely dining area, a comfortable lounge, a cute snug, and a fully equipped kitchen/utility area. The main bathroom had a wonderful freestanding bathtub and a multi-function shower, and there was another bathroom downstairs to service the bedroom on the ground floor, which is really great for those with mobility issues.”
