Walls were thin and next door had on til about mid-night and then from about 6:30am again. Also, there was an aircon ? unit humming outside. I moved my pillows to bottom of bed and that helped.

    Very convenient to my route

In room 115 noise from large extractor on flat roof caused disturbed sleep. Taps on bathroom sink need tightening as both lose. Light switch above bed is minus a screw so moves. Quite dated

Good location, decent sized room, shower good and overall fairly clean

    No issues at all.

I thought this place was great! Right by the loch, with otters frolicking at dusk. Arrochar Alps literally on your doorstep for fabulous walking. Breakfast was great. Dog friendly, for a minor additional fee. Superb value. Much better than the reviews had led me to believe. I would definitely stay again.

Reception/ bar area & rooms very warm... heating on in sunny weather. Would be nice to have more choice of fresh fruit at breakfast e.g bananas.

Beautiful setting in a convenient location while travelling to Highlands area. Pet friendly. Nice comfortable rooms, friendly staff, nice food choices.

Not the hotel's problem - but the overflowing litterbins in the town let the whole place down! Hotel grounds are well kept, pity 'the authorities' can't rise to same level.

Hotel, staff and facilities fine. Warm and comfortable. Dog welcome. Plenty of parking. No problem accepting a 1-night stay.

WiFi was fairly flakey and slow, and the bed was not comfy at all, so had restless nights. Breakfast was OK but not great. Bar had a Guinness pump on the top, but when asked for it turned out not to be connected to anything, so the choice was a can instead.

The Location is perfect on the shores of Loch Long, and the single room had everything I needed as it was just for a couple of nights as a place to crash. Some nice seats in the bar area with big windows for great views over the loch.

Not keen on the meals. Narrow menu. Too carb orientated. Fresh veg served with my steak pie consisted of 5 mange tout and 2 mini corn cobs. Insufficient for a balanced meal or the price. Breakfast average.

Small budget single room so did not expect space or luxury. But it had all I needed. Comfortable. Lounge large, friendly and comfortable. Easy parking. Great position for Loch Long. Elevator a big bonus.

The dining room were unaware we had booked breakfast when we checked in on arrival the previous day. The kind gentleman in the dining room got it sorted and explained they had not received a note from reception. The heating in the hotel was so warm, it could have been turned down a bit. The hotel is extremely dated, only one socket in the room, there are no bottles of water provided in the room, we don't all drink tea or coffee. There was no one on reception or in the bar area or dining room to help with check in despite it being just past noon, had to wait about 10 minutes before someone appeared. We do know check in is 3pm but we just wanted to leave our overnight bag, thankfully the room was ready...there should be staff at reception at all times. Despite this we would stay again. Our room had a stunning Loch view.

The views are beautiful. The buffet breakfast next morning had plenty choice.

The rooms could do with being updated and having a fresh coat of paint. The lampshade in our room was stained all of the way round with water damage. The sheets, although clean, were ripped. The room was also dusty with cobwebs. Overall, just a little TLC and this hotel would be perfect. 100% would stay again as like I said, comfortable with clean beds, which is all you need!

Stayed for one night at Arrochar Hotel. The location is fantastic. Couldn't be beaten. The views are amazing! The beds are comfortable and clean. The room had a kettle and teas/coffees/biscuits. The rooms are spacious and have enough storage. The check out time (11am) was perfect. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The only downside was the sight of litter and gas bottles in the scruffy yard below the bedroom window - and lots of closed businesses in the village.

Great value for a night's stay with my dog. Generous buffet breakfast included in room rate. Great location with fine views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps

Room felt drab and unloved. It wouldn’t take a great deal of work to make it more homely. The only safe place to boil the kettle was on the floor. Cracked sink.
