Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceTwo small things to note: you can hear (or feel) the tube underneath the hotel. Maybe that was my room, not sure. The other thing to improve is breakfast, it would be better to have a buffet rather than a bag. Overall not such a big deal.
The rooms are big and clean, with great bathroom. The location is great and the staff was very friendly and helpful (they sorted it a small issue very efficiently). Really nice.

SwedenBreakfast is prepacked in a bag with bread, juice and yoghurt. Juice and Yoghurt was ok but for the 4 nights we stayed there, the bread was either stale or mushy (probably due to how it was stored). Would skip breakfast if no improvements are made as we had to throw away most of the bread. Only one not very comfy pillow per person. No extras in the room. The metro could be heard quite clearly in our room but was not an issue for us. Bring along earplugs if needed.
Good and calm area with walking distance to Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus and Regents Park. Located in a quiet side street with a few pubs and cafés nearby. Easy to walk to metro and Euston station (if heading for Harry Potter studio). Staff was very nice and helpful. Cleaning was good. Elevator for stroller and lugage.

SwitzerlandBreakfast, do not expect a lot, a paper bag with 1 small bottle of orange juice, 1 Müller cherry yogurt, 1 defrosted Delifrance dry croissant. Available at buffet table, butter, jam, fresh tangerines and bananas. Coffee/hot water machine and good Twining tea bags. Guests banging doors.
Renovated rooms and bathrooms, comfortable bed, in room tea/coffee facilities. Quiet location, close to Regent/Oxford streets, not too far from two Tube stations. Good restaurants (Demartino italian & Goldenhind fish/chips) and pubs in vicinity.

A smart small hotel, rooms are spacious and the location is fantastic. It’s also great value for money considering its central location.
