Unfortunately the elevator was broken during our stay, which made it difficult for my dad. Otherwise, everything would have been perfect.

Clean, comfortable, spacious, beautiful facility. Excellent breakfast! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Very much enjoyed our stay! We would gladly stay here again.

Having to ask for toiletries ( nothing in the room ) .asked for walking shower , didn't get one .Lift out of order , very tough on me and my partner as we both use sticks ( we were on the 3rd floor ).

Lovely traditional building , great choice for breakfast . Very helpful at reception.

The hotel is in a lovely building in a great location, close to Haymarket, Princes Street, restaurants and pubs, but far enough away from the main roads to be quiet. The room was a good size and comfortable. I was in a top floor room and was concerned that the water pressure might not be great but everything was fine. The cooked breakfast was good. Right amount, good quality. When I came in, the breakfast room was crowded and I thought I would have a long wait, but they were very efficient.

Tiny bedroom under the roof, the shower isn’t easy to use (old school shower :-) )

The location is perfect : close to the center but really quiet neighborhood. The hotel is really beautiful (old Victorian house) and the breakfast is really good

The Hotels lift was not working but we had been informed of this before we arrived,we were on the top floor so it was a good workout up the stairs every day.

The Breakfast was very good, with a good selection to choose from. The Hotel is not too far from the centre and you can walk to the Castle in 30 minutes.

Very little to complain about, the lift was out of order. If you have mobility issues that is a big problem if your room is on the fourth floor! However for us, reception did a reshuffle and found a room one floor down from reception.

The breakfast choice was exceptional, the staff friendly and helpful. Location was great, with a five minute tram ride into the city.

This seems to be a common Edinburgh thing- but the hot tap water was scalding hot. Toilet took a while to refill between flushes.

We loved the historic features such as the library and the spacious room. Easy to get out and walk to all sights and easy to get to from the airport. Tea available in your room or reception was great. Breakfast was also good with spectacular scones and tasty porridge.

Our toilet didn’t flush 50% of the time, the bathroom sink was hard to use, the cable for the TV kept falling out and the food in the restaurant was just ok.

Our room was large and clean with the Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The building is beautiful with lots of character.

At the time of our stay the lift was out of action, this meant we had a lot of stairs to deal with after a day's sightseeing.

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Very dog friendly 🐕
