Walking distance to the different areas, very friendly staff and very clean. Accommodation near pubs and nightclubs but didn't hear the noise or music. They provided a service where they would collect essentials for the room. We didn't use this service but a great idea.

We had a problem with the shower in the morning. It was absolutely stone cold. My husband reported it to reception who later thanked us for letting them know and it was a boiler problem which was getting sorted asap. We would definitely return.

The staff were amazing, really friendly and professional. The room was clean and totally adequate for our needs for one night away. I was concerned it could be noisy but it absolutely wasn't.

We stayed in a small double. Room was lovely and had everything we needed. The only thing I didn't like was the wood beam going round the room. While it is a lovely feature in the room I think it took up a lot of space and would be a bit of an issue to an older person or someone with mobility issues getting in and out of bed. . I'll just ask for a different room next time as I would definitely stay again

The location was perfect. Staff were very helpful and hotel is spotless .The small built in kitchenette with fridge was a lovely feature and it really is a beautiful hotel. Was my husband's birthday while we were there and there was a hand written birthday card and chocolate in room for him. Really nice gesture. Will definitely be back.

Booked this hotel as it showed as the closest to the hot water comedy club, however it was a 15 min taxi ride. None the less the hotel and facilities were great.

Great location and comfortable stay. We spent one night in The Resident. Its located among the clubs, restaurants, pubs. Rooms are very well isloted, you can't hear the noise from outside. Very welcoming staff. We also got some discounts being resident of a hotel which was very helpful and worked for us also last day after check-out. We recommend and would definitely come back.

It was a little loud at night but that’s the price you pay for being so close to city centre. But it wouldn’t put me off staying again!

I was so impressed with the manager, Sharon, who took the time to help me figure out which train station I should take to get me going in the right direction! Nice touch with the wine and snack gathering in the lounge. We were impressed!

It's not so much we didn't like but would of loved more options on the TV, E.G Netflix or some sort of streaming app. Especially if your not staying to go out in the town and are planning on having a chilled night, the option to watch movies instead of just freeview would be perfect.

The room was perfect size, very clean. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The staff were exceptional! Very welcoming from the moment you step foot inside. Service 10/10 from us. Our room was at the front and I'm happy to say we didn't hear a thing from outside.

The architecture of the old original building was really neat, and the renovations inside to make this historic structure into a hotel are superb. The lobby lounge was a very nice meeting point for us as we had three couples in three separate rooms. The rooms were also perfect. The sky light and mini kitchen space in particular were nice touches
