Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGreat location, across the road from the beach, what a view from the rooms, clean and tidy, close to restaurant's and pubs. Great size rooms and huge bathroom. I found parking up the road at Trinity Square Car Park, boom controlled, pay when you leave and only costs £7.50 for 24 hours. Good communications with owner, hope to visit some day again.

Great location, right by the beach. Sundowners bar next door. Nice comfortable bed. Tea & coffee & fridge in room. Decent shower. Nice bath.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything to dislike as such. Even thought there is building work next door it didn’t interferes with the view or my stay.
Just come back from a 2 night stay here. Room was beautiful. Perfect sea view and even with building work next door we had an amazing view. Exceptionally clean with the biggest bathroom I’d seen. Fridge, tea making facilities, iron and tv in room. Bed was comfortable as well. Felt like home from home. Less than a 2 minute walk to the beach was perfect. The artwork dotted around was so nice to look at. We met Tonia on our first day and she was so lovely and gave us some information on local things to do. I would definitely recommend staying here.

United KingdomThe bed was incredibly uncomfortable, with barely any support and gave both me and my partner back ache after a couple of nights sleeping on it. It also creaked with every tiny movement. The shower head was broken, it couldn’t stretch easily to fit onto the stand and kept falling off, then the head would just fall off leaving a hose of water making it very difficult to shower. There was building works going on in the next door building that started at 8am every morning meaning a lie in was impossible, this also blocked the sea view from one window. The building is old (nothing that can be done about this but other travelers should know this) so the Windows have no sound proofing and neither does the ceiling/floor either. We could hear the guests upstairs get up every day, their phone alarms, radio, conversations, thumping of moving around etc. There is also a bar next door that has acts on in the evening which are very clearly heard, this was quite fun though and there are ear plugs supplied in the room to help with this. It finished by around 11 most nights though so it wasn’t that much of an issue. A kettle with mugs and tea and coffee was supplied but there is no room cleaning during stays and no way to clean the mugs apart from rinsing them so they were very dirty by the end of our 5 days there. All in all it’s a lovely guest house and some of the negatives cannot be helped, but I’m not sure if we would stay there again mostly because of the bed and at a minimum when staying somewhere you need a comfortable bed.
The decor of our room (Women in Jazz) was lovely, with a table and chairs and a bench sofa. The bathroom was huge as well with a lovely lit dressing table area. The location was great as well, only 10 mins from the station and right on the seafront with a perfect view of the beach from one window - although the view from the other window was blocked by scaffolding on the building next door.

United KingdomYou can hear everything from other rooms and it is very noisy during the night, but it can be avoided by using ear plugs.
Lovely staff, they promptly answered my questions and were very patient. Access to keys is very efficient! The room is very spacious, bed is extremely comfortable, everything is super clean, and in a perfect location! Kettle and mini fridge working fine. View is stunning and it's very close to the beach. There's lots of options of restaurants and fun places to go around the guesthouse. Brilliant!

United KingdomIncredibly loud bar outside the window. It sounds like they’re having a great time but it impossible to talk or work or watch a film it’s deafeningly loud. The room and sheets smelled of vomit. The bath had hairs in it. Shower tap handle is broken so you are either scalding yourself or freezing. Staff you don’t meet but were very helpful on text message. A cleaner opened the door at 10.55 when I was getting changed which is 5 minutes before check out. She apologised but it’s all a bit Fawlty Towers.
