How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Room 19 having a drug fuelled sex party. A little unchecked by staff. They bothered our entire party numerous times.
Rooms were serviceable and clean. Staff helpful if a little unorganised. Good locations and additional bed on arrival. Decent spot for artists.

The room was a bit tight but nothing we couldn’t handle. The bathroom is extremely small, the bathroom door wouldn’t close either. The pub downstairs does get quite loud however it never really bothered us too much.
The hotel has a back entry and exit with a patio which was nice. The location was close to metro and bus stations, and the restaurant next door was amazing. Check in and check out was extremely easy.

Squeekist beds ever. with a group of 3 women, someone couldn't even turn in their bed without waking everyone up. Also, I'm no bug expert. However, their was some sort of worm like creature having a swim in the shower. Also, you couldn't close the bathroom door when you sat on the toilet unless you sat sideways.
Great location. Staff were really helpful and even opened a little early so we could put our bags in before check-in and was always pleasant.

Could have been cleaner but wasn’t terrible! I was scared after reading other reviews but it was honestly not that bad! It was good for what we needed. However there was no hot water in the morning. We didn’t say anything though as we were leaving anyway. So can’t really complain as we didn’t say to the staff about this.
Good location, pub was nice downstairs. Played a few games of pool. And tube station is a stones throw away. Lots of things to do nearby.

The hotel is above the bar, until 1:00 a.m. it is impossible to fall asleep. The hotel room was quite dirty.

Bathrooms a little dated, but decent enough for a short stay
Location excellent, parking a bonus, comfy beds, locals very friendly, I asked one of the locals where the nearest cash machine was, he never told me, he took me!

1 night had people being loud in the corridoor all night, this didn't happen on the second night, & the road noise was quite loud.

The only letdown was that the room had no view .this hotel has a wonderful view

Some street noise at night but not hotels fault ,check in could be a little bit earlier even just to put bags in travelled over from Ireland and place doesn't open till 1pm
Owner and staff were excellent. 4th time I've stayed there and when in London will stay there again. convenient to bus and trains and has a small shopping complex straight across the road ,Mickey ds , subway, Greg's etc.

Smoke detector exposed, open. Table leg wobbly with one screw holding. 2 Side Lights not working in bedroom, bulbs missing. Bathroom light hanging out. No spoons for breakfast, 1 teaspoon. Stain on carpet by beds. No tv controller.
Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Very warm.
