Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesParking is a few blocks away, but met our expectation considering Belfast is a large city. The hotel bar can be quite loud, but fun if willing to join the young crowd for an evening. There is definitely a city feel when you walk outside the doors of the hotel, but the area seems to be going through a big upgrade as Queen's University grows.
Benedict's hotel is an easy walk from Queen's University and the Botanical gardens. The hotel is a well cared for (updated) gem of an 'old' hotel. The staff felt like family by the end of our stay. Our room was very large, with hardwood floors and a fabulous shower/bathroom. Belfast is a fascinating city, full of history and modern day life all at the same time. This part of the city was alive with young, happy people! We thoroughly enjoyed our black taxi tour, walking through Queen's University & the Botanical Garden, and the Titanic Experience.

United StatesIt seems that the hotel is in need of a remodel. The plumbing in the bathroom wasn’t great - the toilet didn’t flush very well and the water in the shower drained very slowly. After many years and hundreds or thousands of guests, any property would be in need of new carpets, linens and towels, and a major deep cleaning. However this didn’t bother us and we enjoyed our stay.
The hotel was situated in an ideal spot central to what we planned on doing. It was quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. Drinks in the bar were good, and the hotel and bar staff were very friendly. I don’t know how many people were staying at the hotel while we were there, but we only saw one or two other guests, so it was nice and quiet.

Room was great, very spacious and the bed was very comfy. It was a birthday and they left a little card and chocolates out which was lovely. The towels were arranged as an elephant too in the bathroom which gave a giggle! Close to everything and breakfast room service was one of the best I've had!

United KingdomNo walk in shower.
Didn't have breakfast but the room was nice clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have a walk in shower as I have a disability and I can't use baths, but other than that it was beautiful.

IrelandSo warm, my goodness. The windows barely open and there's no AC, so the fans just move warm air around.
Very handy location, and relatively affordable for the area. Bed was comfy, and the room itself was in decent shape, if a little outdated-looking.

United KingdomThe bedding. The rustled all night and it was difficult to fall over. As mad as this sounds the bedding was noisy. Bed was comfy though different bedding and it would have been a perfect score for me.

United StatesThe beds were made in a rather strange way with the bottom sheets hanging down - not tucked in. By morning the sheets were disheveled.
This was a good location as the Hop On Bus stop was directly across the street, and it was also walkable from the bus station. Amenities were good. The hotel had the best restaurant and food in the area as most places catered to the nearby college students. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

United StatesIt was a bummer that we couldn't be dropped off in front of the hotel. It caused a lot of stress and the person at the desk wasn't much help. The voucher she gave us for parking didn't work and ended up costing us over $10.
The bar was gorgeous , the room was spacious and clean. i loved the art. Our server at the bar was a delight.
