Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomStaff wasn’t very helpful Broken plastic in the bathroom ended up cutting my head, and nothing was done First night we needed help but the guy on reception was more interested in his phone than helping Next day to explain about the plastic cutting my head they said to change room but it was very very small but then they said they would remove the plastic from the bathroom but when we returned from our evening out it was still there and after cutting my head I was to afraid to use the shower again

United KingdomThe hotel is under a refurbishment. I do understand it's a long process, but some small maintenance and housekeeping work could be done easily which could increase the positive reviews on this place. For example our bathroom was nasty. I found hair in the shower from the previous guests and suspicious 'dirt' next to the toilet. The shower head was also falling apart.
Great location for a really good price. The staff members were kind and helpful. The mattress in our room was amazing. We had a really good sleep. Our room also had a tiny kitchen space with a mini fridge, microwave and a kettle and the big surprise was a coffee machine, as most hotels offer capsule coffee only in their executive rooms.

PortugalRoom without window in the basement not on tge ground floor as it was booked. Dirty toilet. No towalls. No bedside tables. Terrible lighting. Most things were broken or unusable such as the boiler with mold, terrible heating. 50 quid deposit not refunded on checkout. The duvet was not properly put on the bad. Staff was unpleasent and grumpy. Smallbed. Small bedroom. Tiny toillet. The worst place ever even cpmpared to reallu cheap interrail youth hostels.

Rooms were disgusting. Got moved into a new room and it was just as bad as the first. The photos on the website don’t match the rooms in real life. All staged and edited. Absolute dump and active building site. Will never return there. The staff were so rude as they chose to speak in their own language instead of communicating with me and basically told me it was okay that my room was full of mold and damp. Skirt boards were broken, the plug sockets were broken, the bathroom was gross and it was over so dirty and vile. Also charged me a £50 deposit incase of any damages. I think that may be a scam as every room we got to look at was damaged so they probably won’t refund me that. Dodgy place!!!!
