Good value for money, spacious room, had a bath and shower in my room, clean, tea making facilities. Had a meal in bar, staff friendly, played bingo! and a quiz which was very entertaining

Location was really nice. The hotel was very clean, and easy check in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Big spacious family room. Quiet at night. The restaurant was really nice and the food/ drinks were reasonably priced.

My room was on the ground floor right next to the main entrance door. The door is quite noisy and was banging closed most of the night with folks coming and going. I had to sleep fairly early due to running the marathon early the next morning, and without my ear plugs, the door would have woken me several times.. Also, on the other side of the wall by my head was the vending machine, which had a loud humming sound from the fridge. It echoed through the wall. Again, I'm glad I remembered to pack ear plugs! There's no USB ports on any of the electric sockets, so I had to borrow a charger from another guest to charge my GPS watch for the race. I had a mild panic!! Perhaps maybe pop a bit of info in the booking system to alert people to bring a plug charger so that devices can be charged.

The bathroom was suoer, lovely hot shower with good pressure. Super clean towels, and the bathroom had a lovely home feeling. Easy to find the hotel and it was situated in lovely grounds. Staff upon arrival were very friendly and approachable. My room was a good size, very comfy. The bed was very creaky, but not overly so. Lovely brand new carpet too!

The receptionist was very unhelpful and rude. I made my reservation via booking.com with the option to pay at the hotel. Prior to our arrival, I was given the option to pay for the reservation before my arrival. Great idea....save time at check-in. How wrong could I be! The receptionist informed me that I needed to pay the balance to the hotel. I informed her that I had already paid the amount requested and would not be paying it again. I showed her my bank account and proof of the transaction, and also the receipt from booking.com, this wasn't enough for 'Mrs Jobsworth' who kept telling me that her booking system stated that the payment was to be collected by the hotel. The only way she would acknowledge that the payment had been made was for ME to ring booking.com and ask them to contact the hotel, as I couldn't confirm that booking.com would pay the balance to them. Well, after 2 phone calls... and 45 mins later, I finally got through to booking.com and was told that the payment had indeed been made. I was then told that a call would be made to the hotel, confirming payment, another 10 minute wait. After nearly an hour from arriving at the hotel, the receptionist, who was very rude and unfriendly, finally gave me the room key and then had the audacity to tell me to enjoy my stay!! During this totally unnecessary delay to check in, my husband, who has Parkinson's, was left to sit in the car, tired, in discomfort and stressed by the whole incident!

The hotel is in a very pleasant location. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities if you like golf.

There was not a fridge in the room the tea and coffee facility was very minimal 2 of everything and there was 4 of us in our room . There was nowhere within the premises to get a nice breakfast and the dinning area closed at 8 not good

The property does not serve breakfast as restaurant does not open till 12 which is a shame. The bar area closed at 8:30 which is very early. Theese were the only downsides.

The room was very spacious and comfortable! And easy to locate the staff were lovely - I like the fact how the reception isn’t in the hotel so it gives you some privacy. There is a pool table and some gambling machines.

limited plugs... only 2 plugs and minimjm 3 plugs needed... charging 3 phones, hair dryer etc all needed as 1 woman, 1 female child and just not enough plugs and none near bed both tucked over by the desk (room 9)
