Double room was a bit small, so we paid a bit extra for an upgrade which was better. The double is adequate for a nights stay. Lovely walks in the area. Food was very good and really lovely staff. Would stay there again

I liked everything

A perfect inn with very nice rooms. There is a bar and restaurant at establishment. There is a short walk by the river. There is also parking!

We were in Room 10 and the sound of the ?heating/boiler furnace kicking on and off nearby throughout the night was aat times a little intrusive.

Room was warm, well appointed (tea/coffee making etc) and clean. Evening meal in restaurant was excellent. Didn't have breakfast as had to set off for walk at 6am.

The toilet was broken during the night but everything was sorted in the morning. So no problem at all.

Food was great and most staff were amazing except one was a job worth but very friendly though.

Although a little out in front of the way once we got there we were greeted by very happy staff who made our stay very enjoyable. The food was delicious and the room was comfortable. We enjoyed a walk along the river at the back of the property.

For whatever reason the shower did not work at all late at night which resulted in some comical attempts at washing hair and obviously the location requires a car.

The breakfast was great and dare I say too much food. The bed was extremely comfortable and overall the hotel was nice.

We had a comfortable, clean, quiet room. Breakfasts are always brilliant and so are the staff: thanks Gareth, Victoria, Michelle, the lovely Polish and Norfolk ladies who were all very kind and thoughtful.

Drink prices from the bar seemed perhaps a little high & limited in overall selection - otherwise nothing we didn't like.

The room was well presented by Sally, Michelle was very welcoming upon arrival. Breakfast was very enjoyable - great selection - local options - chef did our dog a sausage Evening meals - good choice - ample portion size Outside garden area - great little winter sun trap Listening to the river to fall asleep too

I'm nit picking here - If we where to stay here paying the maximum price the corridors and bedrooms would need more sound proofing and the showers would need to be a little better. But on the whole we are more than happy with the facilities provided.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Lovely clean homely hotel. Friendly staff, well decorated, lovely rooms and very good food. Large car park. This is well above the standard for most of the hotels in Scotland. This is a very good example of how ALL Hotels & B & B's should look. Lovely clean, spacious bedroom with en suite (shower in the bath) and tea and coffee making facilities. We only stay here when there is a deal on as I feel some of the prices we have seen for this Hotel are slightly eye watering. We love staying at this hotel.

Our room was great, and especially for the price, but a couple of details would help - a towel rail in the bathroom and some better lighting as the ceiling lights were very dim in our room. No option of an early check in was inconvenient but understandable. Bar closed early.

The lighting in the room was very dim, even with the side table lamps on. We were disturbed by a neighbouring room late at night so had to call out the duty manager twice who came and sorted it out. Maybe the sound insultation between room could gave been better?

The staff were wonderful and made us feel valued guest. Breakfast cooked to order. The room was cosy with a lovely bathroom. Ample parking on the opposite side of the road to the hotel.

Omelette for breakfast was poor. Scrambled egg in a line and very strong cheese. Not difficult. Couldn’t eat it.

A Scottish hotel that does not stock irn bru and they only have Pepsi max. Asked if I could bring in my own to mix with the alcohol that we were buying and told no. Broken coffee machine in the bar, my husband does not drink alcohol but does love a latte or just an ordinary coffee and staff who would not even boil a kettle in the kitchen to make him one. On the whole, most of the staff very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was clean and friendly but they do need better heating in the sitting room with pool table the fire has now been broken for 2 years hope it does not take them as long to fix coffee machine in bar.

They didn't cater for the new year not even a radio for count down to the bells also we were told the bar would close at 1 but it closed before then.

No complaints at all

From the moment we stepped in the door we felt at home. Staff were ALL lovely and made us feel very welcome. Had dinner, which was amazing. the service was excellent, same at breakfast. The bed in our double room was very comfortable, slept soundly. Nice decor and very clean. Would definitely stay here again. Loved it ❤️
