Please be careful if you using the car park on a friday. There is a market that sets up early Saturday morning, we didn’t know and had issues Saturday morning. The hotel staff were very good in helping us out. Please make sure you are asked for your car registration details and ask if your needs to be moved at any time.

needed updating, didn’t like the fact they tried to charge for a dog each night

well sited allowed dogs but had to pay extra for 2 nights. ended up paying for one night as felt this was unfair

Our bathroom had a bath with a shower attachment. Had to sit in bath to get a shower so not ideal. Our friends shower was only a trickle. My mother in law stayed here years ago and complained about the bathroom then. Maybe it's time to sort the bathrooms out.

I would not say I didn’t like anything! It was slightly annoying to find that the shower had to be held which was a slight inconvenience and every time my partner rolled over in bed it squeaked and woke me up! My friends in other rooms slept well however!

Staff were fantastic! There was one member in particular whose name I did not catch. We arrived at the hotel early as we had a wedding and he was so accommodating! Got us in our rooms slightly earlier than he was meant to so we could get ready in comfort. Breakfast was lovely too!

Our room was on the ground floor, now I know it's an old building, but we could hear all guests going upstairs to their rooms as the floor boards were very creeky, the room directly above us was exceptionaly creeky and the occupants were up every hour during the night to go toilet, we could hear everything even their snoring which kept us awake all night unfortunately. The room are very clean but could do with a bit of care and updating, the bathroom was very dated, the shower screen was very dirty underneath and a lot of repair cement was exposed, shower dial was ill fitting, and generally old and tired.

Lovely old quirky hotel, decor of the bar area is fabulous and comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly, dog friendly which is great 😃 Lovely big room and big bed, central location to some lovely little shops, bars and park. Oh wow!!! Breakfast is just AMAZING, a must have

I would advise anyone not to stay in the superior room at the front of the hotel on a Friday night. They start setting up the market right below the window at 5:30am. Not cool. Also the shower is the worst shower I think I've ever had. It doesn't shower you, it basically just leaks on you.

Bathroom needed some attention- shower had very poor pressure, toilet took three flushes each time and one of the taps had a piece missing. A little milk jug on the breakfast table would be better than having to keep getting up for milk for coffee and tea.
