A little old and rusty

In the city centre, 10 min walk to the beach and maybe 20 to go back at the hotel from the beach, as is on a hill. Room was big and comfortable

Ideal location for a short walk (10 minutes) to the shops, restaurants, cathedral and beach. Perfectly located for us to visit our son. Rooms were dated with some minor maintenance due to age but, extremely clean and the staff were polite and professional. The variety of restaurants within easy walking distance was amazing.

The hotel was pretty dated & could do with a freshen up. The lights in our room went off in the evening and there was nobody around to tell. There was a phone in our room but we had no idea of how to get hold of anyone because there was no information in the room. Luckily they went back on. The toilet took ages to fill, so wouldn’t flush if you used it to close together.

The location was really central & the bed was comfortable. The place was clean, which is the main thing.

I seemed to be the only person there which was peaceful but a bit spooky as a solo traveller. On the Saturday evening at 8.30pm there was no one on reception and the place felt deserted. Pin code to get in which was fine, but just felt a bit weird with no one around at all. Bar not open at all.

I was upgraded to a bigger room. Staff very friendly. Room huge. Bed comfortable. Shower basic but lovely and warm. Definite value for money. Cheap ansld cheerful. 5 mins walk to the beach, 15 mins to walk to centre. Very peaceful. Would definitely stay again if I go to Bournemouth.

As a tourist I want to feel safe and park up confident of security. Unfortunately both sides of the hotel and the whole area are now part of the home office immigration scheme, overnight parked vehicles are being broken into therefore I was no longer comfortable leaving it located there.

This was selected for its location to an event.

I felt like an extra from the shining

basic hotel, clean warm room. when we visited I think we were the only guests. staff were friendly and welcoming at check in, but were never seen again, which wasn’t a problem as room etc. was all in good order. it was perfect for our needs, somewhere to sleep after a night out. I would definitely stay again and for the super reasonable price I had nothing to complain about

Only bad thing was the shower was rubbish, I’ve stayed in a few different hotels in this area and all the showers have been rubbish, more pressure in a leaky tap

There was a little early morning noise from other guests releasing doors that slammed, as the doors have self closers, but this is not really within the control of the hotel, unless they can adjust the closers so the doors don't slam.

The accommodation was as expected in relation to the cost. The room was warm, comfortable and clean, everything worked. The location was great for restaurants, the beach, the theatres and shops, there was no road noise and the staff were helpful. Excellent value.
