Great location on seafront, very warm welcome and comfortable room. The kids loved the big breakfast and fluffy pancakes. Perfect for a couple of days of walking along the coast.

I feel that the manager's phone number should be next to the door for more convenience to the guest, when trying to check in because the can't be heard from the top floor when cleaning up there.

The guest house is in a good location. Manager was very polite and friendly. Would stay again and love the fact it was pet friendly.

This is such a friendly place that we rebook every time we are passing through. A bonus for us is the nearby car park which has a few ev charging points. We also like the location with easy access to a few nice places to eat and drink, and a walk along the seafront. Good breakfast.

We only stayed one night and it was well worth it. The bonus was that we were able to take our dog Bree with us. The owner went out of her way to welcome us and bree, and even had a doggy bag on arrival ( never have we been anywhere that has done this) loved our stay and will return 👍

I cannot think of any negatives at all

Really great location for the Playhouse with free weekend parking in nearby Park Rd car park ,also just a walk across the Links to get to the sea, Spanish city very nearby and a good real ale bar (Split Chimp) Our room was bright and clean with a bay window and two chairs to sit in overlooking the Links and sea ,the breakfast was very good and pleasant staff ,we felt it was really good value for money and a great location and plan to return fairly soon

I've stayed several times at the Cara guesthouse, it is walking distance to town & walking distance to attractions such as St marys lighthouse or the theatre, but it is also quiet, There is also parking nearby.

Warm friendly welcome from the host. A good selection of choice for breakfast. The room was warm and the bed comfortable. The guesthouse is right on the sea front.

Lovely little guesthouse a few minutes from the beach. Clean, comfortable and very friendly. Breakfast was amazing and owner very accommodating. Would definately stay again and would recommend to anyone wanting a homely stay

As I am partl.y disabled and travelled by metro to Whitley Bay. I found the long walk to the guest house a little bit over bearing.. although this is not the fault of the proprietor of Cara Guest house. Suppose I could have got a taxi. But then I am a Yorkshire man and very careful with my money.

The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample snd hot served promptly with a smile.

The pillows were a bit hard and the floor a bit creaky. Private bathroom but out of main room along the corridor.

Location is very good right on the sea front close to bars and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and very good food.

Bathroom is a bit small, though adequate and clean. Unless you have a front room with a view of the ocean, other views are not great (e.g., to a service corridor).

Parking the car was a bit of a problem as there were double yellow lines outside the property and a pedestrian crossing as well. But there was an overnight free carpark (free until 9am) within 100 yards of the property which we used once we had unloaded our luggage.

Room on first floor with sea view was fine. Good soundproofing from double glazed windows, which were fitted with nice patent "plantation blinds" in white plastic, which could be opened and shut from inside. Ensuite bathroom was adequate but a bit small. Breakfast was very good and cooked personally by the proprietor.
