All electricity and heating was turned off with no instructions on how to make it work. Owner answered calls about this promptly and helpfully. Dishwasher and sink leaked badly - we had to reconnect a pipe under the sink - basic but not expected! Cooker (gas oven) clicked all the time it was on - not a major issue but a little annoying when the family are trying to eat and cook! Back gutters leaking badly all over outside of back door during heavy rainfall - probably just need clearing. The property would have been great if all these things were addressed before arrival. There was parking outside the property. The owner was easy to contact and polite. There was lots of room and the house was quite comfortable to stay in. It was clean and tidy. Easy to find. Good local facilities. Decorated with a homely touch which was appreciated.

A minor point was that we thought it could do with more crockery & cutlery, so that you didn't run out with the dishwasher less than half full.

Clean property, large enough for us all to stay in and sensibly priced. EV chargepoint on lamppost outside, although we didn't actually manage to park at it overnight, but could be an added bonus if you did.

I had read on the booking site there was a £200 deposit 'collected ' presumably having paid for the booking on a card that it would be taken from there. When we arrived at check-in we were asked for the deposit via cash or bank transfer, which I found rather unprofessional and was not comfortable with. The owner agreed to let us stay without paying the deposit as he said he trusted us, 2 adults 2 children. The house itself is in need of some renovation and a deep clean. There were items left in the washing machine, upstairs toilet was dirty, there is a cot in one of the bedrooms that I certainly wouldn't put a baby into. I found it rather odd that we were asked not to wear shoes inside the house when most of the house was hard floors, especially given the poor cleanliness of the property. Thankfully we were staying for 1 night only and purely to sleep, nothing else, otherwise I would have not felt comfortable staying any longer.

Good location, close by to local amenities. Spacious house. Owner was mostly welcoming, good communication before checking and showed us around the house on check in. Free parking.

Spotless clean quiet street plenty of parking everything you could need in a 2 minute walk 2 pubs,takeaways ,shops even a tesco supermarket round the corner £10 in a taxi to the city centre

Great location, 15 minutes in an uber that cost us £6.50! The host showed us around and explained how to use things which was helpful. Definitely would stay here again with a group as the house was more than big enough and a great value for money.

Dirty, there was someone's wading drying all over the place, n every door, every rail it was like a launderettes, it was so messy, cold, cramped and unclean. Didn't stay it was so bad & they refused to refund.

Beds are comfortable. There is plenty of room for the 4 of us. Everything we need was there. Just no access to the back door just in case you want to smoke outside, but it didn't ruin our stay. The owner was polite, nice and helpful.

There was no tv working cleanliness was poor there were hairs everywhere I couldn’t even get a shower I was down for my daughters brain operation and was so up set that I could not relax so it was there worse night sleep I’ve had in a long time

The property owner could not be bothered to contacted us prior to the visit to advise us on the arrival instructions. Instead I was left to do this myself the day before we were due to arrive with the owner then cancelling our booking at 12am, leaving us without no where to stay 12 hours before we were due to set off. Upon asking the owner why this was, they advised that I had ‘disrespected’ Booking.com policy as people in the party were below the age of 21. After reviewing their advertisement further, it states that the minimum check in age is 21 however nowhere does it mention that everyone in the party would need to be this age. When booking a normal hotel room, so long as the lead booker is of this age then they allow for this. As the owner of the property could not be bothered to message prior to our stay, i assumed this would be the same rules. In the same advertisement it also states that children of any age are welcome to stay, so where is the cut off?? After contacting the customer service department for Booking.com, they had advised that I had in fact followed everything correct and that the owner was unable to cancel this booking due to them not following their policy. The owner then at 9:00am (3 hours before we were due to set off) contacted us and advised that he would allow us to stay at this property but would need to pay an additional £200.00 security fee. This was too late as we had to book to stay in a local hotel last minute meaning we had to pay a lot more money. I then requested for a refund on this property as the cancellation was not made by myself but an error made on the property owners behalf to which, he advised me that this would not be possible as the cancellation was made with less then 5 days before arrival. I feel this is unfair as this cancellation was not made by myself and we were accused of ‘disrespecting’ Booking.coms policy when in fact it was the property owner who was at fault.

bad smell in kitchen like rotten bins /sewerage, beds not clean looking , couldn’t wait to leave owner was asked by booking.com to refund me as I’d prepaid , he wouldn’t so had to book different house , we couldnt get the smell out of our nose when we left , we could not of had stayed one night much less the three nights that was booked , I would definitely not recommend booking this house in Liverpool

nothing there was a bad smell in the downstairs and kitchen, told the owner Hassan I didn’t want to stay we were family of 3 adults 4 young children, he wouldn’t let me cancel ,kitchen and it’s whole contents not clean I took photos of the dirt and owner cleaned up and sent photos to booking. com , said it didn’t smell and he’d cleaned kitchen
