I had 2 singles beds together that kept splitting during the night. The food wasn’t the best, it was ok but just basic

The standard room was applauding the bathroom was extremely moldy and the beds were uncomfortable. Champneys should not have any rooms that look like that when they charge so much for a stay.

The reception Manager Ron was great he upgraded us to a better room on the second day when he found out it was my husbands birthday. He also gave me a gift on leaving. Great customer service. I also found Milly in the dining hall very attentive and very pleasant.

room looked very dated . bathroom particularly so 'sealant around the bath was grubby . wardrobe door was coming off at the hinges and there was no bar !!The corridor to the rooms had extremely dodgy looking ceiling tiles that looked like they had come from an office in the 70's

breakfast was good with nice variety of foods . spa facilities were nice .pool was excellent

Half the jets in pools don't work. Not enough lighting on entry to see where you need to go for reception.

The breakfast was the worst we’ve had at any hotel buffet.

The spa was absolutely incredible, the staff were reasonably friendly but took a long while to check out.

I asked for a quiet room due to working nights and sleeping in the mornings. The room I had was next to a slamming door. The staff came into my room even though I locked it from the inside to clean whilst I was trying to sleep - waking me up. There was no information in the room about the facilities, breakfast times etc.

A certain member of staff in the spa reception young boy with blonde hair spoke to use in a rude tone because a door entrance was locked before closing time. This was very off putting. We paid for breakfast not knowing that it was for continental not cooked. At the time of booking this should have been made clearer

Some of the facilities are a little tired and need freshening up. The food wasn’t great but I get it as it falls mainly on the health side.

Bathroom- toilet not flushing, tap leaking, not enough towels. Eating- cafe offered cake on a napkin with no fork. Paying extra for facilities was very expensive for what you offer.

Not everything was open, prices were different for facilities than advertised on Booking and there was quite a bit of refurbishment work going on

Nice location but it’s a leisure place first, hotel second. Doing this B&B as the staff called let you see a lot of Champneys at better price

The location and property itself is beautiful. The common areas are tastefully decorated but let down by the tired and dated bedrooms, which are on the basic side. The breakfast was good but the evening meal was reminiscent of school dinners

The building looks very impressive from the exterior and when one enters the reception, however there are some areas of the building which need some renovation and decoration, which is disappointing. .

I really liked the wide variety of treatments available and the food menus which catered for all diets. The customer service was also of a high quality. This was the best spa getaway experience I've had. I will definitely be returning soon.

our booking for breakfast on 2nd day wasn’t recorded on computer and the restaurant manager made us feel insignificant and spoke with a condescending tone making us feel uncomfortable
