Only an ever better if, we would have liked a toaster but that’s really minor.

We couldn't find any fault with the accommodation. There wasn't a can opener at the property for reasons unknown, but that was no problem when we mentioned it to James (the owner). A new can opener was fast tracked to us personally via Amazon and arrived the following lunchtime. The back door will stick due to the weather, but these original properties have their quirks. Port Sunlight properties cannot have upvc double glazing etc, as this is a conservation village. Some of the nearby roads are busy during the day, so you do get mild background traffic noise, but from the evening onwards, the area is very quiet.

An original worker's cottage in Port Sunlight, which is an excellent base for exploring the Wirral. The owner, James, is to be commended. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay is provided. The accommodation retains many original features, and is tastefully decorated throughout. The bathroom is great, with a decent shower and instant hot water. There's a good supply of clean towels, a couple of dressing gowns and ample free toiletries. The kitchen has excellent cooking facilities and James provides access to a good choice of teas and coffees and hot chocolate. It's a great base to explore Port Sunlight, with all the highlights of the village within easy walking distance. The rest of the Wirral is also easy to explore via car or bus, or even train. There's an Aldi within 10 minute's walk and a selection of shops in nearby Bebington, also within walking distance. The Railway Inn is good to pop in for a drink and meet some of the locals. The Bridge is a Greene King pub and has decent food. The accommodation also boasts a huge TV with Netflix, etc. The washing machine and tumble drier in the adjoining outbuilding are also very handy.

There was only one very minor issue - the vent in the bathroom was a little noisy. Apart from this we loved everything about the cottage - it was beautiful.

I booked the cottage as a surprise birthday treat for my boyfriend and we were both exceptionally pleased with what the property offered - a home from home. It was spotlessly clean, everything we needed was there for us to use, should we need to. James was more than happy to be contacted if we had a problem, but we didn't have any!! I would book this again in a heartbeat for a special treat.

The place is beautiful and spotless. Perfect for work and rest, a movie on the giant tv was a great way to relax. Since I needed to work, the house had all my tech needs covered. James was great at communicating and quickly responded to my (many) questions. Will stay again!

A beautiful stylish and historical home. Very comfortable. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Great location to explore Port Sunlight. A must for fans of architecture (and soapmaking). Very handy to have a drive way to park in, next to the house.

Everything was fantastic! The host was super helpful and also gave plenty of information. The cottage is beautiful and the perfect place to stay if visiting this area of the wirral. We will definitely be back in the future when visiting family.

    NOTHING!!!!

The location was amazing. The host, James, could not have been more helpful 😀 We would have liked to have met him, but unfortunately, he was away on business at the time of our visit. The house was exceptionally well appointed with lots of character, and we felt it was like a home from home. Many useful mod cons but retaining some original features. Port Sunlight is a wonderful village, and to stay in this house was a privilege. The decor was very much in keeping with the period, and all in all was extremely comfortable. We would thoroughly recommend this property

The overall experience was fantastic. As a suggestion, considering the colder winter months, it might enhance comfort to provide house slippers in the house, as it can get a bit chilly.

The ambience of the house, coupled with its fresh design, created an exceptionally pleasant stay, particularly during this time of the year. Every aspect was truly remarkable, and the added convenience of a secure parking space proved to be a significant advantage.
