Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUnclear breakfast menu. Price quoted for Continental £14.50 with cooked options individually priced. One day had a cooked option but was also charged for Continental, not made clear. Naughty.
Room was basic, good size TV. Mini bar, safe, kettle, tea bags and packet coffee. A 'Nespresso' type coffee machine should have been available due to the cost of the room. Spa included a sea water pool at a good temperature, salt room was poor, steam room adequate. We both had a massage which was good. Breakfast was good quality food but not a lot of choice.

United KingdomFood at the bar was bad. Service was not good. Not enough staff to cover all the tables. Since the prices are high, one can expect much better service and food.
Clean, comfortable room. Very helpful staff. Comfy bed. Very happy with the studio room. Interestingly the hotel entrance is weird but not a big issue.

JerseyDidn’t like my room, it’s tired. Don’t understand the low sink. I arrived hungry and looking forward to room service. Room service menu offered just one hot meal. Anticipated a little luxury but didn’t quite achieve it.

United KingdomThe room was at times a little unclean in places. There was a pillow on one of the chairs which had a burst zip and a mark that appeared to be from chewing gum or something similar. The tumblers in the bathroom did not appear to be clean. The mugs were not replaced or cleaned during the room cleanings each day which wasn't ideal. A kettle was provided in the cupboard unit, this however was awkward to use. My mum found some silverfish in the bathroom overnight. Complimentary water was meant to be provided each day however on our 3 night visit we were overlooked twice. My only other critique was that they crammed the fridge with too many beverages that we as room users couldn't really benefit from having. Upon arriving at the hotel on foot it wasnt clear where the entrance was as it was hidden around a corner that wasn't fantasticly signposted. Also please note if you are a wheelchair user there only appears to be a stair access to the hotel, it wasn't clear if there was an alternative accessible entrance. My last note was that the information book in the room seemed to be outdated/ missing information.
Staff were friendly and always available. The hotel was nice and had spa facilities with 2 pools, indoors and outdoors. The pool and spa facilities were very nice and quiet in the morning which was relaxing. The bar had amazing food, and I went twice since it was very good. No reservations are required. The room had a massive TV, perfect for movies at the end of the day. The beds were super comfortable, I have nothing negative to say about them. The room came with amenities such as cotton buds and pads which were very useful to have. Two small cakes were provided everyday when the rooms were cleaned, they were very nice! The hotel has easy to use free WiFi.

CanadaSpa: The Facial I had was really just a face massage. Compared to other facials I have had I was disappointed. Dining: The restaurant is nicely decorated. It was quite expensive, but I expected that. However, the black waiters need training properly. I had to getup from the table to get him to bring me a glass of wine. I could not get his attention away from chatting to the bartender. I akd the waiter for some Jersey Royal potatoes. He brought me just regular small potatoes in a large dish. When I told him they were not Jersey Royals he gave me so phoney excuse about them being older. I know Jersey Royals. I also asked him for a medium curry and I got a bland one. I don't know if he conveyed my wishes to the chef at all. I resented the service charge, as the food was expensive enough and if I wanted to give a tip, I would have. If you don't have a car it's quite a walk to the sea front, but there is a bus stop close by if you are prepared to wait.
The breakfast was very good, but expensive. The restaurant was very nice. I didn't try the A La Carte menu as I could not eat that many courses, but the other side was pleasant too. The spa was very nice. I had a great massage. The hotel was very nicely furnished and comfortable. I liked the pool outside, but unfortunately the weather was not warm enough to use it, but the garden was nice to sit in. My room was nice and the TV worked really well to get the news. The maid service was excellent. The hotel was in a nice location, near shops and other restaurants.

United KingdomThe spa access is off-putting. Expected to walk around the hotel in a robe and slippers as there aren't locker facilities.
Shared spaces were nicely furnished and clean. Staff were helpful and efficient. The room was well appointed and spacious - effort made to separate occupied guest rooms so there was no noise on corridors.

United KingdomLocation of hotel wasn't as close to the main square as I would have liked - Didn't like walking through the tunnel. I know we could have walked around, but that was a longer walk. Although the hotel was close to the town, the town & indoor market at St Helier weren't the tourist attractions as I expected - just a 'normal' indoor market, and just the usual High Street shops, as well as empty shops.
breakfast - freshly cooked and good selection room - spotless. towels changed even when not requested. spa - only used the pool, but was good. Staff - excellent, very accommodating, polite
