Only found out checking-in info a few hours before. Some things not working in the house (a few radiators, dvd player, lamp) but wasnt a big deal.

Upside down house, one side of the house was french windows & balcony with great views of the countryside. Very clean. All the lodges look different, ours was Tamar 32 & it was great.

Location good, Tamar expensive but ok, Manorcombe poor and overpriced, management poor.

The pictures and details on the Booking.com web site did not reflect the properties allocated. We were not told properties until less than 24 hours before check-in - despite chase-ups. We were charged the same for both properties that offered significantly different facilities. The cleaning charges were excessive for only 3 nights, particularly as the Manorcombe floors and carpets were dirty (surfaces were clean). There were several small issues reflecting lack of management supervision (inc. poorly functioning front door lock, broken hoover & toaster, damaged and dirty shower tray front). We feel that the balcony balustrade was unsafe and rotten.

We booked two properties for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for a family 50th wedding get-together. One property, 'TAMAR 34' was good, spacious and suitable for 6 guests. The other property 'MANORCOMBE 26' was not suitable for the six guests quoted. The site was quiet and pleasant. Location near Gunnislake was great. Having the larger property TAMAR meant the weekend went well and was appreciated by all.

very hot & would have been so nice if there were fans in the room or AC. we booked 3 homes in one booking for our family but they were so far apart. It would have been so much nicer if these homes were closer.

beautiful setting and had all the basics that you need for an overnight stay

Bed wasn’t very comfortable, the bathroom locks kept jamming they need to be looked at. Coffee grounds were left in the filter. Patio off lounge was very slippery with algae and the table and chairs off bedroom needed a clean and sweep. Sorry about the list but I feel it’s better to let you know. There wasn’t anything very major. Thank you 😊

We loved where it was situated and the surrounding were stunning!

When we turned up, it hadn’t been cleaned by early. Check-in was not registered. Both of the properties we stayed in. Need a lot of TLC garden furniture broken no can opener in property. The house smelt absolutely awful really bad of damp and I feel for the money you pay they are not up to standard, but if you book directly with the holiday home, he will get a much better deal than bookings.com

The shop was closed all the time we were there but the barman very kindly let us in to buy some essentials. Wish the pools were open for a bit longer in the evening. Our teenagers nearly died from lack of WiFi connection. 🤪

Loved the pools! Nice play area for the youngest. Very friendly and helpful staff. Big thumbs up to the barman who did a very good job managing the bar, handling the shop, and answering all our questions. Good DVD collection, which was handy as the Internet connection was a bit sketchy. Staff is very easy to get hold of via the app. We even extended our stay by one more night for a very good price!

I reserved a cot for my grandchild but there wasn't one there on arrival. I spoke to the hosts but nothing was done about it so the baby had to sleep in his pram the whole holiday time we were there which was really bad. The host acknowledged the complaint but nothing was done about it so was unhappy with that.

I liked everything about the property and the location. There was a pub on site and a pool and gym so something for everyone.

The terrace / deck hadn’t been cleaned. The cushions were dirty and the floor was covered in fallen winter debris from the tree. Leaving a few tea bags, coffee and maybe a small bottle of milk wouldn’t cost the owners too much and would mean guests don’t have to immediately head out to buy some. It goes a long way towards making you feel welcome when small touches like that are taken care of.

It’s in a great spot. Communication about the stay was very good. It’s all well laid out inside and we felt welcome.

Accessing the pool is a real palaver. It has to be booked online, the internet access is, at times impossible! When you do go swimming you have to ring a bell & then you have to wait for someone to answer, them answering is not immediate so there is an unnecessary wait outside the pool. There was a previous damages in the accommodation, would have been useful to been able to report that at the start of the rental, to clarify that it was not done by us.

It is a picturesque location, there is a train station which is useful & the host does give you useful local information.

I wanted it to be cleaner to be honest.. It did not smell good on entering and would have benefited from a good deal of airing, a carpet clean maybe but a bottle of Febreze would have helped! After buying Mr Muscle both drains unblocked and then the showers drained fine after and with some other cleaning products including mould remover for the bathroom, we could start to appreciate our surroundings

It was a great first floor living space, big enough for us all plus a great view from our balcony ( am glad we didn’t have one overlooking the car park like others..) The bedrooms are spacious with lots of storage space
