Very dated decor, awkward layouts to rooms (stairs within rooms immediately as entering rooms), Beds were stiff and felt like old mattresses, communal areas unwelcoming and dated.

Spacious room, location on quiet road in nice area (Stoneygate), walking distance to town, university and local shops (Evington), quiet hotel, no issues with access or malfunctioning facilities.

One of the rooms was very basic, but it looked as though work was being done to the hotel. It had 2 very steep steps just through the door.

Come and go at any time. Parking attached to hotel. Location, handy for the O2 academy.. Rooms were clean.

Lazy presentation in room, toilet roll was half used and left on the side in the bathroom not on the toilet holder, no shower gel or shampoo etc, tv was not working properly and there was no hot water. My boyfriend has to speak to reception who said ok we will turn the boiler on and he was told to wait 40 minutes until he attempts to have a shower again! Considering I could have paid 10 pound more to stay in a reputable hotel chain and had no problems but unfortunately it was sold out so that's why I booked this place instead! Location is alright if it's just a place to sleep for the night

The water came through the ceiling and there was nowhere near enough coffee and milk. Plus, there was no breakfast provided and significant damage to the bathroom.

The fact that there were 3 of us and our room had 2 bedrooms. However, my daughters room water was leaking from the ceiling at an alarming rate.

The property is in much need of updating and refurbishing. However, I understand this is in progress. When refurbishing, it would be helpful to make some additions like a bed side light and a bigger shower cubicle.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, polite and helpful. The room was spacious and although the decor was tired and outdated, everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable. There was ample parking. Good location. Great wifi speed.

the only thing keeping me warm in this hotel was the bodily heat produced by my own shivering. i wore pjs with trousers, a hoodie and a coat on top to bed and it was still freezing cold as the radiator did not work.

The hotel is undergoing considerable remedial work and this aspect of the current status should be indicated on the Booking.com website. I certainly believe that when finished, the hotel will be more than suitable accommodation and wish the proprietor well with the progress.
