The hosts are absolutely brilliant. It is in a good location for a walk down to the beach the harbour, the theatre as well as the town centre. All within 15 to 30 minutes gentle wall downhill and flat. There are pibs nearby too. The breakfast is superb whatever you choose to have. Excellently cooked presented and tasty too. Both John and Pat are very knowledgeable about the area and nothing is too much for them.

Many thanks to Pat and John. They met us like good friends. The service was excellent! They offered us better room than we reserve and we were very happy with it! Room is big, cosy, with a big and very comfortable bed. You can order for breakfast anything you want and enjoy fresh fruits. That's was our birthday and we were very happy to spent it here!

Lovely little b&b, situated within walking distance to town and coast. Very warm and welcoming and cosy. Pat and John are such a kind and attentive couple, we were greeted as soon as we arrived and shown to our room. It was clean, we had fresh milk, bottled water, tea/coffee making facilities, and á homemade cupcake. Our bed was really comfortable (which is hard to find these days, we usually take a mattress topper everywhere we go but did not need it here.) The breakfast was delicious, we had a fresh fruit salad, with yoghurt followed by a cooked breakfast.. everything done to your liking. also fruit, cereals, other breakfast bits on offer. I cannot fault anything. it was my partners birthday and the day we were leaving and Pat & John gave him a bday card and bottle of wine, we got a Christmas card and a kiss on the cheek too. 100% recommend Crowndale, it is fantastic and one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. I didn’t manage to get any photos of our stay at the property but I got plenty from around Torquay (which was within walking distance)

The Crowndale Hotel was absolutely stunning, the whole stay was amazing. John and Pat were very welcoming from the start, even as we arrived early it was no trouble, they showed us our room and gave us our key. They are both the perfect host, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy, all amenities within the room were perfect. The special little touch of cakes were delicious. They upgraded our room to suit our stay, just perfect.

The room was not very spacious but for the price one could not complain. There is nothing else anyone could criticise.

The hotel was a bit of an uphill walk from the front but so is everywhere in Torquay!

Ther was nothing to dislike.

Pat and John are the perfect hosts. Nothing to much trouble. Couldn't fault the Accommodation it was absolutely spotless. A perfectly cooked traditional English breakfast 😋 We would definitely recommend staying here. We will definitely stay again when we are visiting family members.
