Putting on weight after the big breakfasts!

Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. Right in the sea front. Easy walk to the shops.

The room with the sea view I stayed in was lovely and spacious excellent clean bathroom with both tub and shower Breakfast was very good in a cosy comfortable space overlooking Douglas bay Service was excellent friendly and informal

Quite a few stairs, but to be expected. Owners did say book the family room next time, a lot less stairs. Should have a new knee for next visit though 😃

For the price it was perfect.

I picked on of the cheapest available but the friendliness, breakfast, quality of the bed far exceeded my expectations. Situated in an older house, full of charm, the location made transport very easy. Would stay there again.

Honestly... there is nothing that I did not like. From the amazing Sea view.. To the comfortable rooms (en-suite) Coffee .. tea .. biscuits and complimentary water (thank you) Fridge ..... Fan in the wonderful south facing room...

I was travelling as an older lady (on her own).. From the moment I arrived, I was set at ease. Paul kindly offered to carry up my luggage whilst I found the local Spar shop ( for a glass of vino..) The room exceeded my expectations to be honest - great value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely couple and their kind recommendations as to where I could go etc., Lovely breakfast every morning - and I got to chat to the other people staying there. All the local information that they afforded me (plus the DISC rules and regs )

Breakfast was consistently good. A choice of cereals, juices, fruit and cooked meal. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the hosts were friendly, warm and obliging.

Our hosts Paul and Lisa were very welcoming and sociable. Our room was ideal with a wonderful view of the bay and the promenade. Everywhere in the property was clean and tidy. The breakfasts were excellent.

It’s a little dated but it’s good value and comfortable.

The location was excellent on the prom. Lisa and Paul were amazing. Met me on arrival and were extremely accommodating when I was stranded on the island due to Storm Kathleen. The breakfast had a range of cereals and yoghurts as well as the excellent cooked breakfast.

Parking can be sometimes tricky do to restrictions and regulations, but this is imposed to everyone. Becomes harder to park during the day and on weekends.

The B&B is excellently located in front of Douglas Promenade. The room was cosy and comfortable. The toilet was great, although small, had all you needed and in working order. Hosts were really nice and ensured we felt at home. Breakfast was great and cooked when we order it and tasted great.

Guests need to be good at stairs, some quite steep

Excellent breakfast with very good choice; very helpful hosts e.g providing a 'phone lead as I forgot mine; lovely outlook over the beach from the breakfast room; excellent location; lovely towels and toiletries; excellent supply of hot water; biscuits each day with the coffee etc in the room.

Run by a wonderful couple . Cubbon house is a 5 mins walk from the ferry terminal. Ideal for those who to go out for the entire day, but their is a comfortable lounge on the ground floor. Our room was room 1 on the top floor was about 12 by 12 feet square. With a onsuite shower and toilet. Their are steep stairs so be aware if you are disabled. I can recommend Cubbon house to all active travellers.
