Nothing really.

Sonata is a little paradise! It is a small and local resort in the middle of a lot of construction sites. It seems a lot of local families stay here to celibrate anniversaries. There is little to do and no other restaurants, but there is no need. You should really go now before it all gets completely comersilialize. We booked 3 nights but extended 1 night. You have the beach completely to yourself. They clean the beach every morning but you should be aware that the rest of the beach is quite dirty because of all construction. If you go for a long beach walk, do it in the morning. We booked a room with seaview, which was very good , but there are strandvillas that look nice too with your own pool. Go there if you want a calm time and get spoiled with good and smiling service.

We loved to stay in this little Paradies 😍 The pool is amazing and everything is in a good and clean conditions. Perfekt place to relax and enjoy. The Stuff is more than friendly. The city is far away but a daily free shuttlebus.

The hotel has a large pool and lovely outdoor areas. If it is too windy to swim in the sea, the pool area is recommended. Super clean everywhere. Tasty and extensive breakfast buffet.

The resort is alone, there are no other resorts directly on either side and we knew this before booking because we wanted this. The beach has some plastic waste which is not the resorts fault. But the resort cleans the beach once a day which makes it more pleasant. I hope that all the garbage from the beach is taken away and disposed of in a proper way.

The hotel is very nice including the nice entrance and grounds and swimming pool heading towards the beach. The restaurant was fine with good food.

Breakfast was great. Beautifu, cleanl and lush landscape. Private beach but no possibilities for sunbathing or just sitting down. Much rubbish. Pool was great but just open till 6pm. Noisy during day time because of huge children's group and at night because of broadcasting movies and soccer game under my balcony. But, you have the chance of sitting outside and watch a movie, ,you can request.

This hotel has the opportunity to be a luxury destination for anyone looking to stay in and around Phan Thiet. Unfortunately they fall short of the mark with a few key areas that need work. Firstly they advertise that their staff are multilingual however we struggled significantly to communicate with the majority of staff - often having to use google translate to communicate effectively. A cancelled sleeper train meant that we had to get a plane to Ho Chi Minh then drive to the resort, meaning we arrived at 3AM instead of later in the day. We communicated this to the hotel and were told we could pay a half night fee in order to check in early. However, upon arrival we were made to wait another 1.5hrs in the lobby to be able to access our room (that was evidently ready to be used as the receptionist said we could pay a full night to access the room immediately, despite the earlier agreement of paying a half night fee). Inexplicably we were now told that paying the fee only provided access at 5AM and that we would have to nap on the sofa in the lobby instead. This understandably set the wrong tone for the rest of the stay. We had purposefully selected a spa resort in order to relax after a busy couple of weeks. However when we went to book a massage, we were told that it was unavailable that day. I pointed out that “spa” is in their name but no explanation was offered other than a shrug and a voucher for the cheapest thing on the restaurant menu (a coconut drink, yay). The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The water pressure less enjoyable, and when this was pointed out and checked it was found to be “normal”. The shower ‘splitter’ was unable to stay in one place and therefore meant that there was a constant battle with getting the overhead to work. The food was super tasty and had decent vegetarian options for lunch/dinner but a very restricted breakfast option for those with any dietary requirements.

Our mini fridge did not work at all our entire trip. I asked at the front desk for this to be checked, they said they would send out a maintenance man but he never came and looked.

The pool opening hours could be extended. The beach isn’t suitable for swimming. The toilet didn’t flush well. There were someone’s hair in the shower in our room. The free transfer to the city could be offered more often per day.

The staff didn't speak any English which made it extremely hard to communicate when trying to order food or asking for anything. Some didn't even know the facilities at the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful and was lovely being right on the beach. There was a free shuttle bus which was good, as the hotel was very far from everything.

Rooms were not cleaned properly. My family checked in late in the evening, receptionists were rude to my family as they came in a bit later than us (who checked in first). buffet breakfast was a mess, food left empty without refill.

awful location in the middle of nowhere, nothing to do around. The beach was full of rubbish, very polluted (quite common in Vietnam).
