Rooms very tired, wallpaper starting to peel off in our room. Also, breakfast very average - served within minutes of ordering so not cooked fresh and small quantities. Toast cold.

Staff were friendly and venue was clean. Good location for night out at Scarborough Spa and parking available on street, disc provided by hotel.

Bit noisy while the evening entertainment was taking place especially as our room was right about the bar / entertainment room.

Great location and free parking. Good sized room with a proper sized TV. Great sized shower room and a decent sized shower 🚿 with Great pressure plenty of hot water. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast with a good choice of options. Very helpful staff both reception and dining room.

Room decor is dated. Meal time could be more flexible for private guests.

Slightly dated decor

Central location, on quiet street, convenient for town, spa and beach. On street parking, free with hotel pass was a bonus. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable no frills accommodation . Slightly dated decor ( not an issue). Good breakfast. Excellent value for money. Would stay here again

After being out all evening and upon returning quite late hearing some music / singing going on I went to investigate, as respectfully stood briefly in doorway momentarily observed a karaoke entertainer performing to a nearly empty room, I assume put on by the hotel. Two girls serving the bar chatting whispering to eachother, then in a hostile way I was challenged when one of them abruptly exclaimed, "are you a resident!!". I said yes. Thinking that perhaps its a private do, clearly not welcome, I turned and left for my room. One night my hotel electronic door card didn't work, had to go back to the reception, and get it reset. There's no parking, just a free for all out on the left hand side of the one way street, fearing I would have to go round and round for a space, I was lucky, as the coach moved off, having disembarked guests for the hotel, there was one very tight space I just squeezed into. On booking in, Friday 4pm as stated, after waiting ages for explanations to the couple of four in front, thought she'd got to the end of the long winded usual obligatories, she then got stuck into a further chat as they'd stayed there before! I'd driven 5hrs and just wanted to get to my room. She started the same spiel for me, I cut it short when I was given instructions on parking. I was given a card to display in my car accompanied with rotatable time card which I would set it up to 5pm and after 5pm return to change it till 10am. I was instructed to do this for each day. Having to leave company being out in the town for the day I would have to make the steep uphill 20min walk back to the hotel room, get my car key, go to the car, go back to my room, then return back to meet my friends. Obviously I didn't bother doing this. Being concerned a bit about getting a fine, it was alright in the end. You dare not use the car during your stay, as there would not be any spaces on return.

Clean, quiet in the room, pleasant stay. With plenty of pillows, cushions were not needed, had to stash them away somewhere. At times room was slightly chilled. I think heating is only on from I geuss 10pm to 6am? But not sure. Bathroom clean and roomy,. Shower was hot and temp control good. Decor fresh, newly painted, good on top of bad as finish is very bumpy and rough in places with hidden difficult corners of wallpaper come away.

The outside of the building looks a little tired, it is deceiving for what they offer in the inside and could put some people off.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean with "filled" sanitiser everywhere! Breakfast was only an additional £10 for 2 people to add on and was really good. Staff extremely helpful and polite.

Not a big issue, but lovely girl on the reception could do with some help. She worked very hard but had a lot to do on her own.

Breakfast, evening dinner was very good, service was excellent. Entertainment was very good and bar staff were great. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower and toilet facilities super. Location great. Will definitely be back.

Room was extremely warm even with the window open. Bed & pillows a bit too on the firm side but that’s probably just me & my preferences.

Everything was ok except the bar manager refused to serve my husband saying he’d had enough to drink. I appreciate this hotel caters for coach trips who were playing bingo, however we were told we could use the bar and we were also guests in the hotel. My husband was not intoxicated the bar manager stated she had watched us walking up the road to the hotel. My husband has poor mobility and sometimes he loses his balance when he’s walking. I don’t know how she could have watched us walk up the road when she was calling the bingo numbers. Just felt like we were singled out as we weren’t part of the coach trip spoiled our stay somewhat. However the room was nice.

Our romm on the first floor was above the entertainment room and the vocalists on the two evenings we stayed were quite loud but finished at 10.45 which was reasonably accpetable. Also the person staying in the room above us started to walk up and down their room from abround 6.15am each morning and the flor was creaking as they did so and we couldnt understand why they had to be walking within their room almost constantly from that time ( not the fualt of the hotel though)

The hotel staff were all exceptionally helpful, personable and professional.

Great location, reasonable price, friendly staff. My partner worked in hospitality sector for years and said woman on front desk (31st Jan 2023 evening) was most welcoming she’s encountered. Room was clean and comfortable with a great view. Breakfast well organised. Will be back
