Everything!! We loved just everything at Maclean cottage. Every piece of detailing, facilities, meticulously selected artifacts and crockery, abundant resources, the user manual with all contacts and a super luxurious feel and view from the cottage was wonderful. It was literally living a dream vacation at just right budget. The host were very polite and supportive in answering us in time. Thank You Maclean for giving us a life long pleasantly memorable experience ❤

Amazing cottage, with plenty of space for 6 adults and everything you could possibly need for your stay. We did several walks from the loch and it was lovely to come back and sit on the hot tub looking out at The Cobbler in the evening.

En-suite bathroom is very small with open shower that when used wet all over the place. The sink there is very hard to use as our heads keep bumping to the mirror. They do not provide shampoo or conditioner. The floor can get very cold in winter and no slippers provided. There is no heater in the kitchen and no extractor. Also we found some of the dishes and mugs are not clean and some were dusty. Clogged bath tub in the family bathroom. Would be better if things were cleaner and more organized.

We like the Christmas decorations. Also the view was fantastic! We like that each room has its own style. The kitchen is well-equipped. The outdoor heater is useful during winter. The neighbors were very kind and friendly!

The pictures show (obviously) the best angles of the house. But it is good to realize that it is not a small, separate cottage but the middle house of 3 attached houses. There is a street in front the house between the house and the loch, with not much traffic. Narrow seating area/garden in the back is between those of the neighbours on both sides (as they did not use it when we were there we had privacy anyway)

Clean. All amenities present. Nice view on Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. At the back of the house there is a narrow, but nice seating area with a hot tub. the Village Inn pub is very nice and close to the cottage. Good location for exploring the Loch Lomond area and Arrochar Alps.

On arrival, the property was not cleaned to a standard we consider acceptable (but maybe this is because we don’t have dogs, and the property is clearly frequented by furry friends). The owner very kindly came to re-clean as soon as we told her - thank you!

The location is truly amazing and the cottage is great value. We loved the hot tub, the beautiful sun-catching back garden and the views from the dining room. The kitchen is adequately stocked - bring your own sharp knife.

The hot tub was a bit stale smelling and cloudy. It looked like it needed treated with clarifier and some chlorine so we only used it very briefly. Had to chase up the owner for entry details and the lock box is a bit rusty and hard to open. They said they had issues with the booking.com messaging system so fair enough. They were good at replying after that.

Lovely little cottage within walking distance of several pubs/hotels/restaurants. The views from the front porch are great. Also a lovely decking area out the back with patio and a heater which was great for an evening drink.

Rear outdoor area needed a good brush up to be inviting to use. Hot tub cold and no obvious instructions on how to use but we are hottub novices so others may know how. House layout a little traditional for our tastes with lots of unnecessary artificial plants. Ensuite basin set back into wall- difficult to use comfortably.

Location and view really nice. Seating area at front of property pleasant. House clean and beds comfortable Lots of cooking staples in cupboards.Decent pub in walking distance.

The bedrooms were really small, making it difficult to move around and access our luggage. House was stone cold when we arrived. House seemed to be “still work in progress” with kitchen cabinets messy with too much clutter and not enough work space. Could do with better cookware (pan was uneven and difficult over flat glass stove top). We had expected the house to be more spacious with a better kitchen given the price and season.

The interior decor was very well done. each room had its own theme. it was very beautiful. A lot of care and thought went into it. Much effort was spent on the front yard (facing the Loch) and backyard (with spa) but we couldn’t use them due to the bad weather. The host was very responsive. He drove 1.5 hours to fix our shower. Love the purple items in the kitchen.

Nothing at all we all loved it.

We spent Christmas 2023 here with 4 adults and 2 children. Absolutely beautiful little cottage. Every detail was considered. Comfortable beds. So very lovely and cosy. Hot tub was wonderful on Christmas Day. The views around were breathtaking. Everything had been thought of and made cooking Christmas dinner super easy. Lovely little hamper was left and Christmas crackers. It felt really personal. Great location and we were able to get out and enjoy the surrounding areas when the weather cleared up. Not a criticism as it made no difference to us but there was no Christmas tree, we improvised as the children were worried about where Santa would leave their presents. There were so many lovely little touches for Christmas. It was a truly magical stay so thank you very much.
