The room was cold, damp and had an unpleasant smell. Radiator was broken, which should have been checked before our arrival. After one night we decided to check into Radisson Red hotel. The Price was the same as Dinorwic lodge but far far better. Dinorwic lodge is heavily overpriced. We had booked including breakfast, but that proved to be ‘make it yourself’ with the choice of cereal from a box or toast with butter and jam.

It was located close to Anfield stadium. However, Anfield is not a Nice area when it is not a matchday

The ridiculous performance of booking in, the staff having to use my phone to go on line to book me in. Not being able to find the booking in reference number. Then saying that I had to produce photo id when the room was already paid for by person stood next to me. All this took well over half an hour. Access to room was from the car park, across a dark yard to a door with a combination lock on it, which was difficult to see, then up a lot of steps to the room. I expected on suite, it wasn't. The downstairs was very noisy till late.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable.

The room was mouldy(one of the walls was black from top to bottom), the fan in the bathroom did not work so the whole room had a musty smell to it. Bunk bed railing broke in the middle of the night so ended up sleeping on the floor. The communal area smelled of smoke. For the price we paid, definitely not worth it.

The room was ready to check in early.

Very small room for family with 9 months baby, we couldn't stay over night. For the price that we paid I was expecting something else.

Very nice guests, try to help us and to solve our problem but unfortunately they couldn't because location is not suitable for families with babies. But is a good location for football fans that are coming to watch Manchester United playing. 😉

I paid for a single bed and bunk beds. What i got was a very old and saggy camp bed and bunk beds. It wasn't possible to get comfy on the camp bed, which was missing at least 4 springs.. Because of how bad the support was, I had to lay on my back with my bottom in a hole and my feet against the metal bar at the bottom. Laying in any other position meant I was leaning on other metal bars at the sides and that I was at a really strange angle due to how saggy it was. I'm not tall (5'7) but any taller and my head would have been on a metal bar too! I was travelling with 2 teens of similar size, so swaping wasn't an option. The breakfast and tea/coffee making facilities were pitiful, there were no decaf options, the communal semi-skimmed milk was almost empty, there was nothing 'fresh' available apart from some very cheap white bread. The jars of tea/coffee have not been cleared out for a long time and the cutlery drawer was also unclean with bits of debris in it. To top it off, the tv apparently had a radio alarm which has not been checked that woke us up at 3am.

The property was easy to find and access. There was free on street parking right outside.

Where shall I begin? There was garbage in the street up ahead where a bag apparently didn't make it into the bin. As soon as we opened the door we were hit in the face with the smell of cigarette smoke. We booked a room with 2 beds but this room was barely big enough for one bed so there was barely room to move. One bed was jammed up against the window and felt like it was practically on the street. The beds were really soft. And to top it off, there was a wedding reception at the church on the corner that was playing loud music with beating drums and a lot of noise. It was so loud it sounded like it was inside the building. It was already about 10pm. We were exhasted from a long drive and looking forward to a comfortable, quiet evening. This place was anything but comfortable or quiet. And the area didn't feel like a safe place to leave our rental car overnight. So we decided to leave and find a hotel in town. We requested at least a partial refund since the place is not exactly as described which the host insists it is. Plus, she said we should have just waited for the reception to end and for the noise to stop. Really??? In addition, calling the place a b&b is a joke. She has food in the kitchen and guests can fend for themselves. This is not the definition of a b&b. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place.

    Nothing.

The bathroom was tiny and the room was tight for space. We weren't fully aware of the breakfast arrangement either which we think made the room expensive. There was also alot of shouting and banging from the room upstairs as they were clearly trying to remove someone from their room and made us feel quite nervous. The doors including the front door which we were situated next to (room 1) were opened and slammed shut late at night and early morning with no consideration for other guests. We were also concerned about the parking as it clearly states permit parking and limited free space available but it does mention on the website but it needs to be emphasised more. Overall, really clean property but due to the ongoing arguments, made us feel uncomfortable and left early today.

Location good for Anfield stadium and a bus ride into town. Nice and clean property.

Was all good in the hood.

For all those looking to book at Dinorwic, I stayed at Dinorwic with my young son (11) and the occasion was to watch Liverpool FC. Location is brilliant, literally 3 minute walk to the stadium. No parking outside the lodge but parked 2 minutes walk away on a prepaid drive (Martinette Drive). Lots of pubs and eating-places nearby for the match. Didn't have breakfast which is help yourself to toast/cereals etc, but ventured into the kitchen for a nosey, and all clean and tidy. Complimentary Items were left in the fridge for us, water/fizzy drinks. Room was very clean with two single beds and a shower room. If there were other guests stopping, then I didn't hear a peep. All in all great place to stay and would stop again, if I can ever get my hands on LFC tickets again! ;-)
