How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Most of the gym’s treadmill was broken

Breakfast room located in central lobby very tight and ran out of basics after 1 hour. 1st room for family was dusty smell reception changed the room after some push. Unable to open windows throughout all rooms. Hotel needs an upgrade as expensive accommodation for quality offered. .
2nd time stayed here. Location near to underground and Westfield when visiting London.

The bar was advertised as open but we found it closed. The coffee machine didn't work in the room nor did the TV. We couldn't switch the TV off or get to the plug so had to sleep with it on. We had no milk left for a morning coffee and had to call a couple of times until some was brought to the room much later. The iron in the room was awful and burnt through my outfit for an awards ceremony even though all of the correct settings were used.
Lovely hotel, accommodating staff and first appearances were great.

Sink taps needed cleaning and parking not very good when getting dropped off or getting picked up.
Deluxe room very comfortable with large bed, and with spacious walk-in shower and bath. delicious breakfast and helpful staff. I will be back again.

They didn't seem to be prepared for us when we arrived. One of the rooms was suppose to be a triple and we had to ask them to set up the extra bed. We had requested the rooms to be close together and they were at opposite sides of a long corridor. Thankfully they were on the same floor.
Breakfast was good and the beds really confortable. We got a complimentary drink in the bar.

Curtains didn’t close all the way so there was light in the room.
Room was lovely. Good location. Elemis products were a nice touch. I enjoyed the layout of the room and even though it was a busy location, it was very quiet.

The bath in our room was slightly chipped so didn't feel comfortable using it, but other than that, great.
This was a great place to stay, centrally located with great facilities. Great value in comparison to other nearby options given the quality of the room.

There was a coffee maker machine and coffee pods, but had a European plug that couldn’t being plugged… luckily I had an adapter and managed to mKe myself a coffee

I didn't like them adding a discretionary service charge when I was paying and hadn't heard anything about it beforehand...you can get it back but it's a nuisance...
Room was lovely and spacious, bed was very comfortable. Very nice modern designed hotel. Easy to get to by train

Would have been better if the breakfast spread had a bit more variety. The safe sometimes worked, sometimes it didn't which was a bit strange.
Room was clean, quiet and adequate. There was an issue with the door handle being loose but it was fixed very quickly. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Bed was comfortable.

Have to say the tepid cooked breakfast offering was very disappointing. Didn’t bother to have in second morning as food was cold.

The room did not get freshened up while we were out, despite having the "please come in" sign on the door. The hotel also adds a "service charge" when you pay, which you have to ask to be removed if you wish.
Great value for money compared to other hotels in London. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were helpful and polite.
