We were on the second floor, going to and from our room we could smell cigarette smoke. We ordered cocktails, neither of which the bar staff were able to make. We tried ordering 2 different ones but couldn’t have those either. Ended up with a glass of wine! Ordered desert with custard and it came with ice cream.

A little disappointed on arrival as no one on reception and two families stood around waiting for 5 minutes.To add to the disappointment there were two members of senior staff stood in front of reception chatting to another lady.not one of them acknowledge us and we had to ask them to get someone to come to reception..it does not install much confidence that the staff put customers first. Also room service food was not great.my wife’s sandwich was on stale white bread.the chips were not hot just aired and someone had put salt on already when my wife never has salt.

The price is steep, specially for the outskirts of stoke on Trent. £340 for 2 nights is really expensive. Waited for over 1 hour for a Carbonara in the restaurant.

The service in the restaurant in the evening was poor. We had to wait ages for our drinks order. The dessert was wrong when it arrived. The pool was very small and very busy.

Trying to contact them to make a reservation for the pool. When I tried emailing and calling as stated in the reservation message but couldn't reach anyone, I had to instead contact them via Booking.com messaging.

The rooms were clean, very quite although a bit cooler but we asked for extra duvet which were provided. I guess it is a matter of setting the air conditioner in the room to the best preferred temperature. The distance between the hotel and Alton tower...a bit far than expected.

The main queen bed was comfortable but the sofa bed was uncomfortable as I stay with my 3 children, Two teenagers who slept on the sofa bed. The springs in the sofa bed could be felt. Maybe they could improve the quality of the sofa beds a bit. I booed the hotel for the weekend as going went to Alton towers but I think 40min drive back and forth between Alton and hotel its a bit too much on a long day. Otherwise it is a great location.

The room was unbearably hot with air con and windows open we couldn't get the temperature below 23° c . The bar had no choice with draught cider. The breakfast was nice but overpriced. There are a couple of restaurants within a mile that offer breakfast at a lot lower rate. The cost is costing the hotel business as we went out to eat.

The hotel was in,an excellent location ocatuon for my needs. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff was professional friendly and smart . Our room was an excellent size. Overall and excellent place to stay.

Parking charges. Less vegetarian options in breakfast. No drinking water facility in room or even in common area. Every time need to visit gym to refill drinking water.

The price of the restaurant is appalling for what you get. Partners gammon steak was like bacon. King prawns with toast..£8.50 for 3 small prawns! Did get them both removed from the bill though so the staff were generous and kind

Like the fact it had a pool, sauna and steam room. The pool is quite small for the amount of people they book in a session though. Breakfast was nice, good selection

Bar was extremely busy withbobky 1 person serving. I waited 20 mins. Beds were a little harder than I'm used to but very clean.

It’s a very good and reasonably priced hotel. Decent sized and comfortable room, good breakfast, good gym. My only criticism is that the pool was much smaller than the pics suggest.

Not enough blue badge parking spaces and half the cars parked there weren't displaying the badge.

From an accessibility point of view, the bathroom was excellent and the flip down shower seat was most welcome.
