Traditional Scottish hotel with super views onto little loch. Room was clean, quiet, warm and comfortable. The staff were all delightful.

The mattress could be updated with a foam top but not bad.

The staff was welcoming and inviting. I rode a bicycle to the hotel and they were able to store it for me. The location is close to some of the "tourist" sites on the island. I enjoyed there was breakfast included at the hotel with the stay that was a big plus. The bar and dinner were good too. I would stay again as the place is quaint, quiet and good for solo travel or groups as I met groups and families there as well. The fish was very fresh served for dinner.

We would have liked a proper dedicated lounge area, as the present area next to the bar is often used as a dining area, and sometimes felt like a corridor. Sky TV reception was unavailable.

Sadly the weather was rather damp on arrival but it improved over night so I was able to get some sight seeing in before I set off on my journey south to Harris.

Perfect location adjacent to A858 & well marked. Warm welcome on arrival. Evening meal & breakfast were of good standard and staff very helpful making it an enjoyable stop over.

Dated bedding, but not a problem. Outside area needs tidying up, garden and tubs etc.

Very relaxed & friendly atmosphere. Staff were all super and happily chatted to you. They catered for vegetarians & had decaf tea & coffee! Bathroom was clean & fresh.

My only gripe was the coffee. Someone came around and filled your cup. This sounds ok except the someone was sometimes not available and one was left staring at an empty cup. A separate coffee pot on the table would have sufficed.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was clean and the bed was good. The staff were very friendly. We arrived quite late and the cook and a few others were the only ones around. The cook took our bags up which was really good as I was whacked. He also proved very aimiable and chatty. The breakfast was excellent.

Very friendly and courteous host with great foresight to advise me to book my table at their restaurant in advance, to guarantee it on a saturday. Their cook served a delicious meal and yummy breakfast (best homemade porridge I ever had).

I could not find a sign to identify the hotel and to identify the reception door. You have to believe your GPS. There's no other hotel at that spot anyway. I arrived late at 9pm, so that explains the closed but not locked doors.

The location is just beside the Loch and mountain. Good room and bathroom. Loch view from my room window. Very good breakfast. Nice staff.

The prices of rooms in the islands of Scotland are a lot higher than back home in the Midlands but these are the going rates and you just have to 'grin and bear it'. The charges are more like London rates The outside of the property looks a little tired and univiting.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had was very spacious and perfect for the dog as it had a door that led out to the outside of the property. The room was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. It was a very welcoming place.

I don’t think I’ve ever received a warmer welcome. Only booked for one night when I decided to travel a day early but could easily have stayed longer. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the owner, who greeted me as I arrived. There was even a gift for my dog in the room. The room was lovely, looking out to the small loch. Food was home cooked and delicious. Would definitely recommend.
