Room turned out to be a small duplex, with the bathroom on an upper floor with fairly narrow stairs, which is not ideal. No easy chair in the main room and no chair at all in the bathroom.

There was a bit of a queue to check in so the man working there summoned extra help. They take you to your room, which is nice.

The heating didn’t work in our room but as soon as we told the staff they did their best to get it sorted but unfortunately they couldn’t so we had to move rooms but the same room type wasn’t available

Car park was a wash out with all the mud from the building works, not really that much of an issue. Room could do with a fridge

A bit of a Strange vibe on reception when we checked in. My husband and i both joked that we felt the 2 staff on reception had fallen out or something 😂

Great hotel in a good location about 1/2 mile walk into the centre. Lovely room, great breakfast and lovely friendly breakfast staff. Ample parking

They wanted to charge us £15 per day for parking in their carpark - which may have been in the small print but I had not appreciated. Parking in the area is otherwise very difficult as it is all resident parking

Well what can you say.. the hotel is just in my opinion the best… the staff were more than nice .. the room was out of this world .. the lady who served breakfast went over and above a credit .. the receptionist and lad on the bar .. very professional…

Bathroom sink water drained too slowly (Mac Forbes) Kitchen didn’t spot a dietary request even though it was on the placeholder setting The dinner starter and main with extra veg was overly generous so went cold / to waste - suggest bring in smaller portions with option to refill

Dusty on the top of the radiator in the bedroom. The sink wouldn't drain and then started leaking but mentioned to lovely staff member at the front desk and this was fixed so wasn't a big problem. Lots of little beetle type of things in the bathroom

Really good location. Room was beautiful, I loved the huge bath. The staff were excellent. Mikey in the bar was amazing and went out of his way to make me a cocktail that wasn't on the menu.

I think the only negative point of note is that we booked our menu options for the evening meal in advance and the menu did nit make it clear that the main courses came complete with vegetables and potatoes. We ended up ordering sides in advance with the result that there was too much food and it was a shame to see that wasted.

The room I was in was excellent. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good toiletaries and great shower. Could not have asked for more. The breakfast was really good - a good choice of options both hot and cold. Good coffee. Although it was from a self service machine that did not detract from the quality. Nothing. It is very clean and like a home away from home. Lovely rustic style decorating. Nothing is overdone or not attended to properly. It is very comfortable

I think it's rather over priced for a mid week stay and for the room we had... There was no coffee for the coffee machine and the amount charged for parking on top of the price of the room was excessive.

The staff were lovely.... The building is beautiful. Rooms are nice and clean. Bath robes are always a nice touch.
