Amazing location, lovely views and the breakfast was delicious!

Our only disappointment was the very small room with nowhere to put a suitcase. It would have been better if the hotel provided a folding stand instead of our big suitcase having to be put on the floor. This said the room was very nice and perfectly adequate for our one-night stay.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with magnificent views across Loch Lomond. The service in the restaurant was very good and the food was excellent.

The room was a little noisy in the morning, particularly once people started showering; you could hear the fans through the walls. Not awful, but did wake me up.

Staff were fantastic! We had a delayed flight and they helped us over the phone to hold our restaurant reservation and deal with our late check-in, which took so much stress out of the day. The room itself was grand, with a brilliant view over the loch. Being on the ground floor, it was close to the restaurant, but we didn't really hear much noise from there. Everything was clean, spacious, and well cared for. Breakfast was tasty and good value.

The room is not well sound-proofed and, like a lot of British hotels, it will struggle with the warming weather. It would be great to have a midge screen on the balcony, for instance, so you can open the door at night without fear of waking up covered in bites. Alternatively, some kind of fan or air-con. It wasn't even that warm during our stay, but the room was uncomfortably hot. As for sound-proofing, we could hear every word anyone in the hallway or adjacent rooms was saying, and even louder if they were out on the balconies. It wasn't a big issue, as most of the guests were quiet and went to sleep quickly, but we were awoken around midnight as the bar downstairs closed and everyone shifted around. Plus, for some reason the bathroom fans are much louder coming from other people's rooms than our own; sounded like a hand dryer was being used! Not awful, but if you're a light sleeper be warned.

Room was clean and comfortable; good shower. We had a good view of the loch and surrounding hills, even with the roof of the restaurant technically between us and it. Staff were incredible; very friendly, very helpful, went above and beyond every time. Plus, the food was great, and breakfast was good value.

The coffee shop/bar area very nice, lovely decor but didn’t really feel like a bar/lounge.

Comfortable room and en-suite. We didn’t have room with loch view, but view appreciated on terrace in front of restaurant. Breakfast was good, plenty choice.

The room was a bit on the small side, but it was sufficient for our 2-day stay.

The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and had all the essentials. A very peaceful location and lovely to be able to look out over the Loch from the room. It’s only about a 20 minute walk along the Loch into Balloch. Breakfast was excellent - the continental option included everything we needed and there were a variety of cooked options. The full Scottish Breakfast was very nicely cooked. The staff were all fantastic. They were all very welcoming, very polite and very engaging. They certainly enhanced the experience.

Our first room (11), was an accessible room, bit small but ok. Bathroom was a wet room but had no shelving to put toilet bag etc on. Floor did get very wet and no opportunity to get it dried quickly.

The view is incredible over the Loch. It’s modern, fresh and seems to have everything that’s needed. Staff were very friendly and had time to chat.

Bed was tiny and the pillows were uncomfortable. No air conditioning in the room and the fan didn’t help at all.

We could hear our neighbours a lot while on the balcony. The room was a bit small, lack of space to tidy our suitcases.

The worst bed we’ve attempted to sleep in .. not used to a double bed in over 30 years. Not just size but also comfort Level dry poor. Otherwise all other departments performed well
