Lobbies are dingy, and bathroom emanated a very bad odor. Squeaky floors but probably that’s the old charm of the city.

Needs modernising in places. The rooms/carpet is a little dated. I thought it was expensive for what it was but the building is really lovely.

Very noisy in the morning, as buses and bin men started passing by at 0400 hrs. One bus sat outside the hotel with its engine running at 0600hrs. You can hear the people moving around upstairs as very creaky floor boards. They were up at 0500 hrs!! So not a lot of sleep. We were warned about it but parking is dreadful. The car park nearby is also small and fills up quickly. We were lucky though.

Excellent location. Room was good. Staff were friendly. Helpful that you could leave your luggage with them.

Insufficient storage space for clothes. Some loud street noises at night (but that's hardly the hotel's fault)

Location was excellent for buses from London to to Heathrow, also for Botanic Garden and a meeting one of had at All Souls. The room was stylish and the elevator was either always there or came within seconds. Front desk staff very warm and friendly.

The bed (especially the mattress) was very uncomfortable. It was lumpy and hard. Also, the room was very small, but this is to be expected from such an old building.

The location was fantastic, the check-in was easy and the staff seemed nice.

My room smelt funny. There must have been a problem with the bathroom pipes. You got used to it once you were in the room but when you left/came back it was quite strong. The breakfast was nice enough but the baked beans were v watery.

Reception organised a taxi for me which arrived very quickly. Central location was v convenient.

The awful creaking groaning noise coming from the vent in my room, I had to put tissue paper in my ears to try and block it out.

The coffeemaker in the room (no tea,no milk)

Friendly staff in the restaurant for both dinner & breakfast . The food was good. We were allowed to leave the car for 2 hours after checkout, which made all the difference to our stay

The staff were ok. Friendly but not helpful in finding alternate solutions, I.e. we checked in at midnight and the one person checking us in was not friendly and didn’t help us in terms of finding parking. it was only when the manager came over that he said we could park with them. Also, one evening we wanted to get food and the room service kitchen closed at the time. that’s fine but when asked if they could suggest an alternate of what was open etc they just replied “I don’t know” and left it at that. instead of trying to help us….there was door dash which we found ourselves and it was perfect.

the location was perfect to walk everywhere. It was modern and clean.

They do not have a lift to go to the third floor. The lift only goes from the first and second floor.

The location is in the city centre and easy to go to the University of Oxford. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is quite good.

Had to go downstairs to order room service Room was only done on 1st morning and not after No lights by the mirror or plugs close enough to use hairdryer and mirrors Bed and TV were in positions you couldn't watch the telly in bed

The person on reception wouldn’t print me a receipt / invoice she said Booking.com should do it - never heard of that before in the many times I’ve used Booking.com!!

Good location- we visit Oxford quite regularly - need to be close to the centre. Good quality breakfast.

room rather small, parking very poor - I think my car was scratched, although no evidence when. expensive.

staff were great. Room clean and comfortable, breakfast very good. Great position almost next door to my old college room.
