The hotel and suites are looking a little tired and in need of some tlc. A lot of staff were very inexperienced which led to some poor service.

The location is superb for the IOW ferry, coast or new forest

Attention to detail was my only comment .

Breakfast was good but I would have preferred non smoked bacon. Monitoring of food temp in chauffing dishes was poor.

Our room 15a was very tired and in need of a refurb. There was a chip out of the sink and damage to the worktop/ shelf in the bathroom behind the toilet. The room was large but the bed and sofa were not that comfortable. The pillows were very hard.

The setting and the staff were good. We didn't use the pool or spa so can't comment.

We ate in the bar as the main restaurant was fully booked. However food and service was good.

our room had a door which wouldn't lock and the room was rather dark. However we were moved to another room immediately we reported the lock problem which was good.

the breakfast was good and varied. fried eggs were bit cold and rubbery but service good

Things were showing signs of wear and tear and maybe just not the attention to detail. An example is the stained tile ceilings in the breakfast room and pool, it cost very little to change but they are an eyesore. Also in the changing rooms it's tired..you can see where the lockers were cut off to make an extra bench but everything needs paint and attention. In the rooms it's great there is a little mini bar but absolutely no sign to say it's complementary or you should pay...so if its a wow it defeats the object! We were on a B and B rate but I saw an astonishing 26 GBP for cooked breakfast that it says is award winning - I don't think it can honestly be called that given its a buffet and some of the food was not up to the mark. On the wall, the picture is at an angle and I suspect it has been like that for ages - it's the bits of detail that are amiss.

Great location and setting. It's an ideal wedding venue. The rooms were spacious and clean.

The breakfast canteen was poorly run, and the young ladies did not seem at all happy in their work - inspiration comes from the manager who, sadly, was not very good. However, the breakfast was lovely Also, in the bathroom in 1A, the shower screen was not at all efficient, with water giung all over the bathroom floor

Lovely hotel and restaurant, and the grounds are stunning

Awful spa facilities, swimming pool is to small and both sauna and steam room is full. Parents sitting in where children running around constantly opening doors and screaming! I suggest an adults only time during the day. I will not be coming back to this circus i am afraid.

Friendly staff in the bar and restaurant.

We really enjoyed our stay in what we would call the villa/ outdoor section of the hotel. Very comfortable stay in room 17. A few occasions the adjacent door would wiggle at night.

We liked the facilities available to us. For example the pool and gym. Perfect location to catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight and explore the town of Lymington
