The room could have been larger but it is a historical building and this was part of it’s charm.

The hotel room was small but very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was small, bed mattress was uneven but I asked for it to be changed after the 1st night which the hotel did without a fuss, so better night sleep the 2nd night. paid parking right next door to hotel but you need to remember the times you have paid for and top up if needed to avoid a fine!

Friendly staff, warm welcome, excellent quality breakfast in a lovely light and airy dining room. Good dinner menu offered for small hotel, we eat in on the Saturday night and really enjoy the food we ordered.

Bit noisy after 12.00 on Sat night , but not too bad. Breakfast finished too early for the 'retired' traveller. Parking could have been an issue.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was excellent, highly recommend their Sunday lunch. Room was comfortable.

The superior room felt very much like a standard room and the main staircase was a bit tricky for the less able (like me)

Staff were absolutely lovely. There was an obvious pride in how they attended to everything, always in a friendly, chearful manner. The newly refurbished downstairs was very nicely finished and breakfast was great (lovely soft poached eggs)

Stayed over on Saturday night ....found the noise outside the hotel after closing time very loud so didn't rest much , so wasn't impressed tbh . Otherwise food & room amazing , but shower very small though ...

The room had a big extractor chimney right outside! I had asked for a quiet room and to be fair, it was explained to me on arrival that the extractor was switched off at 9 p.m., which it was. But as I was in the room in the evening, it wasn’t that relaxing until 9, as the window had to be kept shut. But there was a fan in the room.

The room was beautifully clean and comfortable. Excellent shower and toiletries. Breakfast was fine with a reasonable choice. A standard menu. The staff were a delight and there was a positive atmosphere inside the hotel.

The bedrooms are on the small size but not a problem, we didn't like the bed mattress as it didn't have much side support. The duvets were rather thick for summer use. Our room was noisy due to external noise- drunks shouting, bin men and street cleaning vehicle early in the morning. No evening meal available on our first nights stay.

The hotel reception and lounge are very nicely decorated and furnished, with comfortable chairs and sofas. The breakfast room is equally nicely decorated. Breakfast was really good. Excellent WiFi. Helpful staff.

I personally found the bed mattresses to be too soft, though this is a subjective assessment and I tend to prefer a firmer mattress.

Rooms were surprisingly spacious and well appointed. Staff were polite and accommodating. Breakfast was also very good, with a decently varied set menu (I had porridge with coffee and toast).

Breakfasts were confusing for them, no semi skimmed milk. And no baked beans with a Full English? We pre ordered toast but had to ask again once we had food, so was half way through b4 we got some.

its noisey of a nite time been in the town...pay and display parking by hotel that was abit of a pain you could only add 4 hours at a time.

hotel love food amazing staff very helpful and nothing to much trouble.covid limits things bar only had bottle beer....mask wearing otherthan sitting down.but its the norm.location in the town lovely.all meals served very hot beautiful.rooms clean .
