Beautiful hotel, very helpful staff and a great restaurant

Double beds were quite narrow in the smaller rooms. Breakfast was ok but we would have hoped to see a bit more variety.

Charming traditional hotel, totally fine for our one night stay. Convenient location, nice bar, lounge and terrace outdoors. Very friendly staff throughout out stay!

There is nothing not to like.

The hotel was whatever you wanted, peaceful, friendly, lively bar and bistro, and the gardens were a pleasant retreat. The views from my room were spectacular, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would certainly return.

Not having a lift could be an issue for some people, but help is available to carry bags.

A great spot close to Oban but away from the crowds. Lovely staff, really helpful. My room was exceptionally clean with a lovely view, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! I would definitely come back. Breakfast was great.

Our room was to the back so we didn’t have a view. Room a bit on the small side. Bathroom probably the smallest I’ve ever seen! But it did have everything required!

Lovely old hotel with lots of features. Dining room was very busy but if you are a guest they will fit you in. Food was lovely. While we waited for our table we sat in the lounge and enjoyed a pre dinner drink. Lovely views of the Falls of Lora from the front of the hotel.

It was very loud at night, the walls are very thin and we heard other guests walking down the hall and entering their room.

I enjoyed the hotel space itself. The building and architecture was beautiful!

Minor thing, but better signage to the breakfast bar might help?

Staff friendly and accommodating. I was in a cabin room with the shower down the corridor, but no problem. It didn't feel like I was sharing. Brilliant view and really appreciated being able to eat in the brasserie. I expected to have to go into Oban so pleasant surprise. Evening meal tasty and good value. Breakfast excellent.

Our family room ( only room available - very short notice due to ferry cancellation ) had been newly decorated and was very stylish and comfortable with lots of space and a good sized bathroom. Sitting on the terrace in the sunshine with pre dinner drinks was lovely as were the gardens by the loch side. Dinner was decently priced as was the wine list.

The small double room isn't too small but there is little airflow from the window which is south facing and with the heating having been on for arrival, it took a long time to cook down. The bathroom is very small but if the bath were removed and replaced by a shower cubicle, it would have a nice feel. The bathroom could also have done with a good scrub but was clean enough.

Beautiful property sited in a lovely location with good food. Staff were very welcoming and warm, especially the breakfast team.

Unable to gain internet access from our bedroom which is very frustrating so you need to sit in the lobby or restaurant.

Soundproofing not great between rooms - could very clearly hear someone snoring next door. But no worse in that respect than many hotels.

The hotel needs to have a more convenient system for their guests’ luggage. Not fun after a long day’s driving to haul one’s suitcase up to whichever floor one is staying on. A lift would be a good idea. Breakfast service was slow and a bit confused. It arrived cold and the waiter brought the toast (finally) after a couple of reminders. More than anything else, the reception of guests needs to be more warm and welcoming.

Clean, comfortable and well located. We rested well.
