Stayed at this hotel on 2 separate occasions within a week so booked 2 different rooms. Some rooms are really small (Room 12) - bathroom so tiny that could hurt yourself at the corner of the sink. Steep and narrow stairs so not for people with check-in luggage. Not ideal for long stay more than 2 days because no kettle, fridge, wardrobe, air conditioning, chair/space to eat… Water tank in bathroom really loud overnight. Can hear people going up and down the stairs. Checkout time is 10am which is very early.

The self-check-in process is a bit complicated, requires a 50 pounds safety deposit (by card, from one's phone) for each room. Bathrooms are ill-designed, without enough space for average-sized people (I'm 168 cm tall). In the photos there is an electric kettle in the room, and in reality there was none in the 2 rooms we booked. I sent a message to ask for one, but they didn't reply. There is no open reception desk either, so it is not easy to solve this kind of issue.

One of the handles of the window was broken; thus, cold air was able to get it while the window was closed.

The entrance to the property was hassle-free. The room was small, but had everything necessary. The bed was comfortable.

The room is really small, and it can be especially inconvenient in the bathroom. The specifications said it was a 16sqm bedroom, but it was a lot smaller than that. My travel companion was tall (193 cm) and faced many difficulties when reaching the room or using the bedroom. Of course, we managed it, but it would be nice to get those specs straight since taller/overweight people might consider staying at the hotel. Accessibility is definitely an issue here.

The location is definitely helpful, no more than 5 minutes away from the central station. The room was impeccably clean, all installations functioned well. The bed sheets were comfortable and the bedroom is soundproof, so I had a very good night sleep.

- the windows are oldish and do not insulating the room well from the air and noise from outside (though the location is not too noisy anyways) - the bathroom is small, no room for toiletries

- great location, 4min walk from the train station - quick and easy self-checkin/checkout - room was clean

No hand towel or bathmat in bathroom, TV had no signal (we could watch Netflix so no big deal) overhead shower head unusable as was faulty and sprayed everywhere (there was a small handheld one that was fine), no drinks making facilities in room (although there were downstairs at limited times). The biggest one was no housekeeping for the 3 nights we were there. Would have liked toilet roll replaced and bins emptied at a minimum. Everything cost extra - left luggage, parking and contacting them out of hours has a threat of £50 fine unless an emergency. We didn't think hand towels and loo roll constituted an emergency but would have been nice to have.

Difficulty contacting someone as I did not have a towel in my room. Left a written message on the door and it was sorted when I returned. No readily available hot water for drinking/making tea etc. It is available with tea and coffee, but someone has to be there.

I was not very happy with the check-in this time. There seemed to be a problem regarding checking in using the app. which I had not used. I mentioned that this was my 3rd time staying at the hotel just as another guest arrived to check-in. I got completely overlooked/ignored even though the next guest also had not used the app. and had also experienced a problem checking-in. No apology was given for keeping me waiting and I felt that I was being dismissed. I missed the friendly, helpful welcome I had on the last stay and the cup of tea!

I have stayed at the hotel previously and appreciate consistency i.e. comfortable bed, spotlessly clean bathroom. It is conveniently located for my workplace

Quite noisy from traffic and upstairs guests, a lot of light through the windows at night made it even harder to sleep and the front door was unlatched 80% of the time, so security is a bit suspect. Someone tried to enter my room in the night, without success, fortunately.

Possibly the smallest bathroom in the world, couldn't use the sink with the door closed. The lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room, coffee only available downstairs from 8am Bedside lights didn't work, raised on day 1 but not fixed, and one bedside "table" was missing.

Clean, comfortable room and the hotel is in a good location. The online check-in and key code access worked and parking instructions spot on.

There was a persistent water leak from the bathroom ceiling which meant the floor of the bathroom was wet and water dripped onto me if I tried to wash my face or brush my teeth. Additionally there were no instructions for accessing the guest WiFi.

The property itself is well presented, the room was spacious and the bed was large. Decor was tasteful. Entry code system was very convenient. More than anything else though the location is perfect.

Ensuite was so small the door couldnt even close. Barely any room to get into the shower. Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

The rooms need deadbolts or chains that can only be operated from the inside. As a solo female traveller, this would make me feel MUCH safer. As it was, anyone with the code could have entered at any time. Also, what is this bizarre boarded-up door situation in my photo 😅 gave quite a creepy vibe just outside my room..

No frills hotel for a great price, good for work travel. My room was quiet despite being right near the train station - good location to reach anywhere in central Cambridge. The room was nicely decorated and comfy bed.
