Irene is a busy woman with a job and a family to "distract" her. On the whole that wasn't a problem for us, but she wasn't actually there when we arrived. With the help of a neighbour, she was contacted and had been delayed in traffic. Had we been more proficient with our phones, it would have been easily solved. Irene is certainly easy to forgive!

We were immediately offered tea or coffee, which was served with biscuits and a pleasant chat including helpful suggestions about what to see and how to get there. We were offered a range of breakfast menu and a time at which to eat it. We chose "traditional Irish" every morning and were not disappointed! The ground floor room had an en-suite bathroom and our hostess gave us detailed instructions as to how to use the shower. The bed was comfortable. The whole place was spotlessly clean and we were offered clean towels when required.

Had a great stay here. Irene is a fantastic host, so helpful and accommodating. As I was travelling on my own she gave me tips recommendations on where to go and where to eat. The room was lovely and comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for a base to explore Rathlin Island and the Causeway road. Would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely book again.

Our stay was perfect - we will never stay anywhere else when visiting Ballycastle in the future!

Irene, our host, is a wonderful human being! Incredibly kind and energetic, very attentive to us. The B and B has so many lovely little touches that make it truly feel like home! When visiting Northern Ireland, we specifically wanted to stay in small, locally owned places, not hotels or chain hotels. The experience you have in a B and B truly matches the vibe of Northern Ireland - very genuine, authentic, and personal. Glen Haven is in a lovely little neighborhood, a super easy walk to the town center and to the marina area. We felt so safe and welcome both in Ballycastle and at Glen Haven, we are already planning another visit! We opted for breakfast one morning and it was excellent - piping hot, fluffy scrambled eggs with crisp toast and delicious sausage. It was the perfect send off for a day on Rathlin Island - Irene even dropped us off at the ferry! It was tough to depart Ballycastle and Glen Haven, but we are so happy that we have discovered them!
