More staff needed in the bar area - we were at a wedding and there was only 2 staff in the bar to cater for over 100 people.

Very comfortable, reception staff friendly, breakfast was very good.

The bedroom is due for a freshen up, some of the paper is starting to curl. Money must be at a premium having just got through Covid, and the most important thing is that it was clean. As the owner of a small building company I would recommend fitting a humidistat controlled extractor fan in the bathroom it could reduce moisture and save on energy bills.

The staff were all superb, obvious signs of good training and everyone made us feel welcome and special. The evening meal was perfect, the portion size was not too big, I don't like food waste, but we were both hungry having cycled some of the way, we did leave a few vegetables behind. We enjoyed the architecture of the hotel with a unique bedroom, bathroom.

Was top end of the price scale for a room.

Lovely hotel very close to centre of Usk. Spacious comfortable room and lovely bathroom. Staff were really attentive and helpful. Had a superb evening meal in the restaurant. Lots of parking and safe and tarmac parking for motorbikes. Good selection and choice for breakfast. Nice grounds for a drink outside.

We booked in for 3 nights over the weekend and there was a wedding in the hotel every day all three days so the main bar was out of bounds to other guests :-( the toilets became pretty messy as a result of all the wedding guests. What would have been lovely perhaps a complementary bottle of wine or something in the rooms for the other guest not associated with the weddings and a little note stating as much and that you still value those guests, just an idea when you are very busy with weddings.

On Sunday our departure day, family dropped in to wish us well and one of the staff "Megan" was amazing and cleared a lounge area on the ground floor and managed to serve up 5 cream teas for us all despite it been quite late in the day and the staff were clearly very exhausted from the 3 daily weddings, but were still smiling and very attentive, so 10/10 for your staff Megan in particular and commitment to (all guests) not just the wedding parties.

Room a little tired, needs redecoration. Lots of weddings and related noise, not so relaxing

Nice location with nearby walks for our dogs. Very welcoming to us with our dogs. Very pleasant helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Interesting building.

It's closeness to the road, the photos make it look as though it is well away from any road The deco is somewhat dated, however, tastefully done

The only thing I'd say is that our rooms were in need of a little updating in terms of decor. Very clean and comfortable but a tad in need of some TLC.

The location was good, staff were friendly, breakfast was great and rooms were clean. We'd had a real nightmare and were effectively 'homeless' on the second night of our holiday and we booked this hotel after 11pm, arriving at 1.30am. Staff were great, rooms were ready and we were so grateful!

Room decor and furniture old fashioned and in need of a refresh. Dinner was OK but not “fine dining”- lovely service but meals a little disappointing for the price.

Location of room (which was on the second floor). Only because I had a large amount of baggage (case, cricket bag, and fishing equipment). This necessitated a multiple trips between my car and my room up and down stairs.

Hotel/staff willingness to go the extra mile. I needed a cab to travel to the local cricket club (due to having a very heavy bag). Due to the short distance involved I was told this request was impractical, but the hotel then arranged for one of its staff to drive me there in their own car.

Location very pleasant, easy walking distance into Usk and to walks along the river. Breakfast choice and quality very good. Hotel serving staff friendly and helpful.

The only thing which caused a problem was our room was on the 2nd floor and the lift only went to floor 1. I had asked about a lift and was told yes which was true, but......... A struggle with luggage.
