The room was one of the biggest I've ever stayed in. Was looking for a budget hotel and this was on a larger scale than I'd expected.

Our upgraded room was one of the smallest in the hotel The only advantage was a see view There was one chair in the room Despite the very impressive pictures of luxury bathrooms our bathroom probably was no bigger than 2.5 metres square and that included the bath etc. There was a definite shortage of staff at times and ineperienced staff left to their own devices The changing facilities in the Spa area were inadequate if there were two people changing it was almost impossible to avoid touching the other person

Breakfast was excellent Staff were friendly and acommodating The room was clean and fresh towels were given daily The food in the restaurant was excellent but did not vary from day to day

Evening meal took far too long. This included from point of seating, drinks and food service. I appreciate staff were trying to give 5 star service but the delays were not good. Bread could be on the table, freeing up staff rather than the art form it took leading to long delays. Drinks could be provided faster and again freeing up staff. White wine was served elaborately but was not chilled. The evening meal service from seating, taking order and service was far too slow for this to be enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again, as I have done before but would not take the evening meal due to slow and cumbersome service which is regrettable as the food itself was good. Car parking also needs to be managed better. Cars were parked so badly they took up much needed space.

It is a little annoying when the shampoo/conditioner dispenser has not been topped up and you only discover this when you are already in the shower!

The room we stayed in was showing signs of wear and could do with a refurb. Tea and coffee in the room could have been better.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel was in an excellent location, quiet but close to the town. It felt relaxed and comfortable. We had lunch and breakfast and the food was very good. Great views of the sea from the rooms at the front of the hotel.

Staff were friendly, but not personable. Some of the breakfast cost extra. Room was clean but not the high standard expected. The sauna did not stay hot, only lasted about 5 mins after heating. The steam room was out of order, so not usable. The meal in the resturant was nice, but they nearly charged me for a full meal for my 5 year old when he had a childs meal. Got charged 4 childs meals at the bar, when i only have 2 children, one evening.

The swimming pool was warm, the bar meals were nice, and it was relaxing.

Parking was a bit difficult and not too many spaces could do with having a parking system or allocated bays for guests/ bigger more efficient car park. Lift is quite scary and could do with a upgrade

Bed was very creaky. Bar menu very limited (but very good nice food) it's an old hotel, first in Grange, so little dated in places that could be updated but it maintains history.

It's a lovely building in a nice place. Staff are very friendly and good at what they do. The food is really good. It's quiet. Very peaceful.

Options for eating gluten free were appalling. If coeliac eating here you basically have meals without the gluten items. They do not specifically cater for gluten free at all. They have gluten free bread and think that's gluten free. At dinner I had the Prawns but had to go without the pancake, no starters were specifically gluten free. My main meal was lamb but they left off the croquette and offered nothing in exchange. Only pudding offered was ice cream or fruit salad. Again nothing made for gluten free. Breakfast was the same, couldn't have sausages as not gluten free and risk of cross contamination at buffet very high. I was told there were no gluten free cereals however later discovered they were available on request however when I asked Emna the maitre'd I was then told they had run out! This was really very poor for a four star hotel and the cost of the room.

The setting is fantastic, the hotel beautiful and the room exceptional. View from our room was amazing.

Unfortunately we made a mistake with the room we chose which was an inner courtyard view .We found it claustrophobic and very hot.Uncomfortably so ,and therefore couldn't sleep

I enjoyed everything.

I’m disabled, the staff were very willing to help me in any way I needed. They were very friendly and made time to speak to me, making sure all my needs were catered for. All the staff are friendly and professional. I couldn’t fault them.
