Single travellers who enjoy a good room better stay away.

I had a single room, which was absolutely tiny. I had about 3 square meters free to move in. It was next to the elevator, so I could enjoy people arriving all night. Also rather noisy, I could hear every word that was said in the corridor. I went for a continental breakfast around 9.20 am. It was supposed to be open until 10am, but there was hardly any bread left, and empty food trays were not replenished. Choice was OK but not extensive.

The bed was good and the bathroom was well-stocked with towels and shower gel/shampoo. Staff was friendly and helpful.

First impressions weren't very good the pillars by the entrance have paint flaking off. Our room was somewhat small but very clean, couldn't get the hair dryer to work very well, did mention this to the cleaning lady but just got a shrug of the shoulders, maybe she didn't understand! We stayed at this hotel a few years back, but felt this time that it was looking very tired, the furniture in the room was old, it needs some TLC and I'm sure it could still keep it's character.

We had tickets for a concert at Royal Albert Hall & the location of Hotel was perfect for the venue.

The walls are very thin and I could hear people snoring all night. It was quite hard to get to sleep because of this. The room was also quite small that I kept walking into the tv on the wall. Also breakfast was a shocking £24 so I gave that a miss.

Brilliant location and friendly staff, beautiful building. I loved the balcony window too and had a great view of the park.

The one tiny lift in the building was out of order for the majority of my stay. Was moved to the basement area to avoid having to go up five floors of stairs - which was fine but it was no where near as nice as the room indicated in the picture on booking.com.

The lift was broken for the duration of our stay which meant climbing 3 large flights of stairs. Could also hear the other guests blowing with exhaustion. There were no brew making facilities in the room and no air con. It was very stuffy even with the windows open all night. I wouldn’t book here during the warmer seasons. Also the shower is in the bath (not a problem for me) but may be for those with limited mobility.

Excellent location, comfy beds and very convenient for our visit to the Royal Albert Hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

A number of points. Given the price and rating of the hotel, I was disappointed because of the following points. 1. No teaspoons included with the coffee making facilities 2. The bathroom sink was very blocked and did not drain freely, which meant it was not pleasant or convenient to use. 3. Porters/hotel staff working early on Sunday morning near room. 4. Some marks on the bed sheets, which looked like washed in old stains. If this was a budget hotel, I would not comment, but I did feel disappointed by the combined number of minor issues. Also, my partner checked in before I arrived and explained that a hotel worker had entered the room while he was in the room. The key card was also removed, which meant he had to get a new card issued.

Size and of room and hotel location good.

Very stuffy small room with radiators on full upon arrival and it was a hot day. So I turned all radiators off and opened all the windows. There was a rat running across the dining room floor at breakfast.

The bathroom was very small and dangerous. You had to step over the toilet to get into the shower and had to be careful getting out that you didn’t slip on the polished tiles.

Please try to be a bit more creative with fresh fruit for breakfast. There is so much available on the market that this should be an easy task.

The property is really beautiful! The only thing is the room for two people with a full bed is VERY small. But that is also just life in a big city. Otherwise the stay was great! The location is very quiet, especially at night. We did not have a hard time sleeping. I would stay again despite the small rooms!
