Host was super friendly and accommodating . The single room is lovely, warm, cosy, loads of tea/coffee and also delicious little brownies and treats on the house! Breakfast was also great!

Had a cool shower as had lever turned wrong way. But there was plenty of hot water. Would have liked a firmer mattress.

The host John was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices, all diets catered for which impressed me. The location is quiet and near a bus stop. Kettle in room for good choice of hot drinks. And some brownies too.

Radiator was not working/or on in the bathroom but we did travel on a cold day and it’s a fairly old building. We just left the bathroom door open so it was fine.

Lack of parking was the only small downside..

The staff were very friendly. Comfy, warm, clean rooms. Delicious breakfast, lovely lady serving it! Great location close to the seafront. Only downside was lack of parking, difficult find a space but found one in the end! A great stay! Thank you! Would definitely recommend. A brilliant base for walking the Seven Sisters.

Great B & B, friendly, polite hosts. Great size twin room, amazing breakfast choices! Everywhere clean and tidy, great choice of tea/ coffee sachets in room, nice biscuits/brownies in room. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful, spacious and comfortable guest house, in a great location, with all the facilities we needed. We were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. I'd highly recommend Gyves House.

We were made very welcome on our arrival by John. The room was clean and spacious with a great size en-suite. The added touches of home made Chocolate Brownies & Shortbread were excellent. Very comfortable bed, extremely quiet. Breakfast lived up to the reviews, nothing was too much trouble for John & Sarah. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in Eastbourne. Thank you.

I liked everything, no drawbacks at all

It was a wonderful stay in a warm, cozy and spacious room. The host was really friendly and kind. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. I had a great rest after a conference. Thank you! If I come to Eastbourne again, I'll definitely stay there again!

The TV in our room (room 3) had a rattle which made watching programmes hard work - we did report this before we left so hopefully the next visitors in the room don’t have this problem! We had to park quite away from the property - it wasn’t a major deal as we only had overnight bags. We may just have been unlucky as it was the first weekend in December but it’s something I’d consider if booking in the future.

Large room with sea view which was a welcome surprise! Fabulous breakfast with many choices. Welcoming host at all times. It was wonderful to be able to park the car and leave it until it was time to go - we could walk to restaurants, shops, along the sea front within minutes.

The TV made a buzzing noise when on but let John know on check out and he said he’d look at it that day. A very minor thing and didn’t affect the stay.

Fantastic owners - reallt friendly and made it feel anhome away from home, great breakfast with homemade break and butter and homemade spreads, lovely special touches in the room including chilled water, homemade brownies and biscuits. Loved the sea view from the window. Great quiet location.

Nice quiet place, friendly folk, nice touches like lavender drops left to put on your pillow as a sleep aid, everything clean and pleasant, did me a packed lunch for the train as I don't do breakfast, all round good experience.
