Unfortunately, they do not have any accessible rooms on the ground floor or a lift, but they were very helpful and carried our suitcases up to our room and down again in the morning for us.

It was within walking distance of the venue for the concert. The staff were very helpful with regard to taking our suitcases up and down stairs for us.

The toilet U-bend could have been cleaner.

The room was pleasantly furnished and comfortable. We chose not to have any meals in the pub.

Nothing. The bathroom was serviceable, with a good over the bath shower however, a bit of an upgrade wouldn’t go amiss.

A very warm welcome awaits you at the Half Moon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was warm and cosy. Our room had a lovely view of Sherborne Abbey. Enjoyed classic pub snacks in the evening and a heart breakfast sandwich. Handy to have on site parking which if free is you purchase food or drinks at the pub.

The only drawback was beyond the mangement's control - the heating didn't work for two days due to a boiler fault. It would have been helpful to have some back-up in a very chilly February!

A very pleasant stay at the Half Moon Inn. I was impressed by the very friendly and helpful staff. The accommodation was centrally located, and good value for money, The food was reasonably-priced and well-cooked. The room was clean and comfortable, and the housekeepinng efficient. Would reccomend to others.

Lack of real ale and the shower was too small, but we understand they have limited space. There is a full size bath if you cannot fit into the shower though.

Good Value for money & friendly staff. Simple accommodation in a central position with parking.
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple

The room was on the chilly side of a comfortable temperature, as the central heating radiator was only ever tepid, even on the max setting (luckily though, it was not below 0 the night we stayed!). Whilst ok (& generous), the bathroom fitments would generally benefit from a little attention to detail and some (relatively simple) improvements!

Central location; friendly and helpful staff; spacious, clean room & bathroom (both with Abbey views!); good breakfast (extra); free parking (on registration) at the rear. Whilst there's scope for a little improvement, it actually affords very good value for the money.

The bathroom in the family room could be updated. Tap is difficult to turn off therefore drips all the time. Quite a lot of paintwork over the bath is flaking into the bath - not just small bits! It all worked fine, just a bit old and tatty, grouting for example. We could't get any heating but there was a heater in the room which worked fine for us. Breakfast changed from buffet to one dish served to the table. Must say I loved the buffet!

The beds are really comfortable - essential. Although this is a pub, accessing the rooms from the side door is great, especially as I was travelling with a child. Staff are really friendly and efficient. Lovely big fluffy towels! Love tea and coffee in the room and biscuits too!
