Didn't realise didn't have to pay for parking - you don't as a guest but the signs were confusing. Shower in bathroom was very small despite the bathroom being big.

Great sized room and quiet despite being above a pub. Very clean and comfortable. Iron and ironing board available upon request. Great breakfast, and excellent service whenever we needed something

The room, although clean, is really quite dated and it is evident that it has not been refurbished for a good period of time. I fully appreciate it is summer but the cost of the room is really rather expensive and I only assume is for the location.

Location was ideal for the event that we were attending in Sherborne. Ideally situated in the centre near to the Cathedral. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Spacious & comfortable room with beautiful view of the Abbey - but decor is a bit tired.

Bath was old and damaged let down the room. Enamelled bath all chipped and stained at bottom. That said usable but at £90 a night unacceptable. Bed clean but funny smell on bedding very odd may be pillows need changing. Hardly noticeable but I could smell.it! Not enough really to complain.

Breakfast good and good value. Location just great. Parking real.bonus. Staff just great👍.

On checking-in we were advised that evening was a drum and base evening at the pub, and this would be happening until 23:00 Hrs when the pub closed. The price was more expensive than other similar properties we stayed at throughout our "tour" of the area, and if we had been advised before arriving, we would have re-booked to stay elsewhere

Good central location, with ample parking on-site

No fridge, the room was very hot & noisey during opening hours & church clock chimes every hour through the night. It was clean but decorations tired, & bathroom could use some maintenance as old damp patches & warped timber finishing around the bath & shower rail fell off in the morning. Double bed booked but actually 2 singles pushed together.

Late booking in option until 11pm onsite free parking.

The Half Moon, unfortunately, is showing its age. Marstons need to spend some money on it to bring it up to standard. The bedroom was clean and the fact there is a handrail in the bath is very helpful for someone who is slightly disabled. But there are signs that a "bit of attention" would not go amiss. My bedroom had wallpaper peeling off behind the radiator. The toilet seat had come undone on one side. Tea and coffee-making facilities were very generous with teabags, sachets of milk and coffee sachets plentiful.

The staff were excellent. Extremely friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good. The location, right opposite The Abbey is superb. The sound of the Abbey Bells on Sunday morning and ringing out for a wedding on Saturday was brilliant. A lovely sound to hear.

The accommodation is dated and badly needs renovation. The corridors need redecorating and the doors to the rooms have peeling paint and scuffs. The bath panel in our bathroom was broken.

I have mobility problems and all the staff were very helpful. I was given a room on the first floor and staff members carried my suitcase up and down the stairs for me. Very friendly staff and a good choice at breakfast. Excellent location opposite the abbey and a short walk to the railway station.

It is a pub and naturally there was evening activity, including a rock band on Saturday night, We didn't mind at all, and the noise died down after 11pm. But it wouldn't be good if you wanted an early night!

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. The situation, near Sherborne Abbey, was perfect for us.
