The staff is really friendly and the location is perfect, right in the middle of town and close to everything. Walls are pretty thin, but still pretty quiet at night. Great value for the price.

Some pegs for our clothes etc in the shower room. A bed head on my single bed. But neither of these things really impacted on our stay here. The staff more than made up for it!

The price of our booking was incredibly good, so we booked it as we had almost left it too late for accommodation for the Wonderwool Show at Builth Wells. I will admit that were weren’t expecting much for £33 a night each for bed and breakfast. But we were very pleasantly surprised. Cleanliness…..couldn’t fault. Decor……not tired or dingy but fresh and sparkly. Beds……perfectly adequate! Breakfast…..the cooked breakfast pleased my friend, and the cereal pleased me. Unlimited coffee and toast as well. The area was quiet, and although we were there on the Friday and Saturday night, in a room above a junction in the road, we were not disturbed by traffic noise at all. I don’t have any qualms about recommending this simple hotel to those who want a bargain!!!!! It was very good value for money!

The room was quite small and it could probably do with a coat of paint. The bathroom was tiny and it needed an upgrade, the bottom of the shower needed fixing on the outside.

The hotel was welcoming. The room was tidy,there were plenty of towels. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. The staff were helpful.

Felt the bedding was a tad small for bed, ended up fighting the wife for the duvet more than normal !!

Location was perfect for our plans, we went by motorbike and the hotel let us use a lock up they had to secure our bikes - which was great. Breakfast was good. No lift so if you have bad legs opt for the first floor. Bar prices good 👍

Lack of parking, had to pay for over night parking around the corner. Room was a little shabby, but I had a comfortable night.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. TV and coffee in the room. I require gluten free food and the staff at breakfast were understanding and had GF food available which was v nice.

Toilet was noisy when flushed. Could do with a upgraded mattress but for the price it was fine.. and we had a good night's sleep.

The staff were lovely very welcoming Our room was a bigger than expected .. it is dated but had everything we needed inc coffee and TV.. and good WiFi.. and good storage..and comfortable cushions. Location was perfect . Right in the centre of the town. The breakfast was delicious.. shame the restaurant was closed . Great value for money.

Nowhere to hang up your clothes and no shelf to put toiletries in bathroom. Very thin and not very big bath towels. Restaurant not available for an evening meal. Connection to TV channels not great.

Bed was comfortable. Shower easy to use. Lovely cooked breakfast, cereal and toast. Coffee, tea and juice also available. Was able to have breakfast with our small dog in a separate dining area which we really appreciated. Budget friendly accommodation so good value for an overnight stay.

There was nowhere to hang all the used wet towels. A free standing towel rail or a wall rail would be useful.

The hotel is very central and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is good value for money.

Was a little cold and radiator didn’t do too much but I had took my own blanket anyway. Remote needs new batteries but not a complaint as such.

Restaurant and bar was good, didn’t wait too long for my key when I arrived. Room was clean and tidy. Food was fantastic in the restaurant, best fries I’ve ever had!

Being slightly on the portly side size wise, I did find the room in the en-suite bathroom a little on the tight side.

Wasn’t the cleanest and needs updating. Mattress felt low quality. Advertised as having parking, unfortunately there wasn’t any available and I had to park 2 streets away outside someone’s house.
